OLD THREAD: 2012 Beach and Yacht FAQ, Part 2- May, June and July DON'T POST HERE!

Yeah to the cracking down on the "chair holders".

We never get a chair until we're coming down to the pool to stay. Even then we usually only take 3 chairs for the 5 of us.

Thanks for all the responses to my SAB question. When I said "claim" chairs, I really just meant putting a towel on one while we are in the water. I never even considered that people would claim chairs at the pool then go to a park and expect "their" chairs to be there for their afternoon swim! Lol. Weirdos!

Good to know that there are lockers to use too... Do they have keys or combinations?

Oh dear Disney, PLEASE send the discount emails that Feckless doesn't want MY way!!!

My 11 year old so desperately wants to go this year. Ben is very jealous of Nate's class trip last month. He goes to the Disney website every few days and prices trips (note to self: hide credit cards) and he even prepared a Powerpoint presentation of the Top Ten Reasons We Should Go To Disney This Summer.

OMG LOVE that!:rotfl:
How can you NOT take him????? so cute.
Well he is determined.

I am happy to announce that as of this very moment our August trip is PAID IN FULL!!!

My poor daughter was horrified when I did my World Famous "Paid In Full" dance!!

Wanted to share my excitement with all of my Beach Club friends!!

Can I get a WOOOOO HOOOOO!!

Me too. I can't wait to get Jeanne and Lily to SAB!!!

Princess Lily now wants to be outside whenever it is light out. Mind you, it's over 100 in the shade in Vegas. So Jeanne sent me a video last night. It was sooo hot there and she was screaming to go out, so they took her baby bathtub into the front yard, filled it with water, put on a swim diaper and let her at it. She waved to the cars and had a ball. Jeanne said the whole neighborhood was laughing at her. Hopefully somebody will give her one of those small pools for her birthday next week.

I was worried about her and the heat and humidity at WDW. Guess I'll only have to worry about her Mom since Jeanne says Lily doesn't care what the temps are as long as she is one with nature!

Teena,
I hope I Finally get to meet you and see miss Lily in action princess:. I have 2 boys and we spent a lot of our last vacation in the kiddie pool (my husband and I just beached ourselves in the sand water and stayed there for hours :rotfl2:).
She will be fine in the hot temps with a stroller and one of those fans to blow water on her. At least in the stroller they aren't exerting themselves too much...yes they get hot but not as bad as walking. I still have strollers and my boys are 5 and 7, but they are on the small side :)

There is nothing like going to the post office and finding Mickey mail in the box:cool1::dance3::cheer2:....I do contain myself from dancing in the parking lot though as I live in a small town and don't want anyone to think I am a complete looney ;).

Now I just have to pack and we are there!!! Yippee!!!

We plan on only doing SAB those 3 nights we are staying at Y&B. We'll do Magic Kingdom and Epcot (a few attractions) early in the morning while they are staying at our house. Bob goes to bed real early so Jeanne, Princess Lily and I might venture into one of the parks after dinner one night while we are at the Y&B too ... all depends on how hot it is. I know Lily will be fine with the weather but I can't stand doing the parks when it's real hot.

Me too! Our next trip is Oct. and I'm thinking about Sept/Oct of 2013 already too.

And...June 2014 is our 10th anniversary and I'm already thinking about what we're going to do for that - a Disney cruise? Aulani? An Adventures by Disney trip?

It's never too early!

My DH and I took a Disney cruise for our 15th anniversary in November and I highly recommend it!! We went w/o the kiddos and it was fantastic. Many people questioned our decision on DCL since it was an adult only trip but I am so glad we did. The Disney magic was awesome!!

Dance away, we all understand! :dance3::dance3::dance3:
Woo-Hoo!!!:cheer2:

Regarding holding chairs/umbrellas at SAB: I was told right before heading off on my vacation to the dude ranch that this summer in particular they are cracking down big time on holding chairs/umbrellas. If you are in the water, fine. However, if they notice nobody touching anything on a chair that has a towel, or a book, or a t-shirt for over 30 minutes, it is taken off. The resort is crowded and I was told "reserving chairs" is going to be strictly enforced. They have enough lifeguards/recreation CMs around to enforce this and apparently they are!!

That is such good news! It's nice they are understanding that in a busy resort, it's frustrating to find lots chairs "saved" ;) by folks who are actually not even at the pool.

Just got back late last night from two wonderful weeks at the Beach Club :cool2:, Teena gave me a mission and I just wanted to let you know that I did not forget . I told the servers two waiters and one of the waitresses at the Captains Grille the I heard a rumor that the were discontinuing the Ribeye Steak:sad1: I told them why mess with something so good. They all said that they would pass it on to to there manager . I also mentioned this to the Girl at the Podium while I was waiting to be seated.
On the 4th I at at Cape May and not sure if it was a mistake or not but they had the cucumber tomato and red onion salad,Not sure if it was a mistake or not because the week before I just remembered the cucumber onion and vinegrette , not very impressed :sad2:

Does anyone know how far you can go in the lake when u rent a boat? Does it have to be just in front of the beach club? I noticed the map goes all the way over to the swan and dolphin.

Thanks for the vote. My TA keeps telling me we should do the cruise. We have never been on any cruise, so it would be great to make our first a Disney cruise.
