OLD THREAD: 2012 Beach and Yacht FAQ, Part 2- May, June and July DON'T POST HERE!

Can someone please tell me what type of coffee pot they have in the Villas? We have a Keurig at home and I can bring the K-cups if they will fit in the pot? If not, I will just pick up ground coffee when we are down there:goodvibes Thanks, Penny

Oo-oo! I've got this one! I didn't think I would be able to answer a BCV questions, but coffee makers are my specialty! As longtime readers of this thread know, "What kind of coffee makers are in the rooms?" was my very first question on this thread.

Unless something has recently changed, 10 Cup Mr. Coffee-type machines in the 1 and 2 BR villas, and 4 Cup Mr. Coffee in the studios.

From the Page 1 FAQ Section;

What kind of coffeemakers are in the resort rooms?

As of October 2011, the drip coffee makers in the BC and YC resort rooms were replaced.

The regular resort rooms and club level rooms now have the Cuisinart Double Pod Machines:

Thanks for the photos, Rorey and Cinderumbrella!

Please note that the suites reportedly have Keurig k-cup machines.

The coffee makers in the Beach Club Villa rooms are Mr. Coffee-type (drip) coffee makers. I think the 2 BR and 1 BR BCV kitchenettes have a 10 cup machine and the BCV studios have a 4 cup carafe.

I just noticed you are taking a split stay between BCV and BLT. That sounds fantastic - two totally different resorts to make it feel like two vacations in one!

This is our first time at BCV. We stayed at BC last summer and fell in love  We own DVC at BLT so that is like going home. We are looking forward to BCV and the Boardwalk Area.

I love Key Lime Pie!! Where in adventure land?
You haven't lived till you've had the Frozen Choc dipped Key Lime pie on a stick :rotfl: Had it in Key West- amazing!!
Hope your Lyme problem is improving! :goodvibes

I've read that it's at the Sunshine Tree Terrace. I'll be checking it out (and reporting back) in a few weeks.

Dee - key lime mousse at Flame Tree BBQ is ok - not bad, but definitely nothing like the key lime pie that was their claim to fame years ago.

I'm sorry that you're still having so much pain Teena.

I haven't been checking in here much because our August trip to BC is in question. We owed a lot in taxes this year and we've had lots of medical expenses with my oldest child. We had booked a CL Deluxe room with a Bounceback offer and we got a very good deal. Now we're looking at the $$$ and I'm not sure. I bought our plane tickets already so we'll probably still go to Disney but I'm not sure if we'll keep our current reservation or not. I've priced some on and off site options (including non-CL at BC) and we're deciding. The fact that a child's AP is now the same price as an adult is hurting us a lot!!! :scared1:

In happier news we leave one week from today for our first Disney Cruise. We're spending next Saturday night at the Swan (Teena, are you working Sunday?) and heading to the Port on Sunday. I'm super excited. Our post-cruise stay is in a Cabin at Ft Wilderness which will definitely be a change for us. Wish me luck on that one!!! :lmao:

Just a quik question. I arrive in 24 days!! I am super excited and in super planning mode. We are driving down and we plan on stopping for essentials (milk, yogurt, etc....) We were originally planning on dropping our bags with the bellhope (or in our rooms, hopefully) and then heading to Wal-Mart. However, I remember reading somewhere that there is a Super Target much closer. Can anyone help me out with this?
Thanks!
Tara

All this talk about key lime pie is making me want some and the only thing I have is a key lime Greek yogurt...so not the same.

oohhh. I have got to find me some key lime greek yogurt. While not the same as pie it sounds tasty

MikeyT - hope the wedding is fantastic:thumbsup2

Amanda ... I'm leaving on 6/23 for my mother/daughter dude ranch adventure. I'm so sorry I'm going to miss you. I can't wait to hear all about your cruise!!!!!
P.S. I'm sending you a PM. Just tried and for some reason I can't get into my PM page. I'll keep trying.

Is anybody having trouble sending a PM? I can't even get into my "notification" page to send one.

Howdy all! I am surprising my mom with a short WDW vacation before a 7-day Fantasy cruise and have reserved two nights at the BC - Club Level. We've stayed at the BC before and loved it!!! So I thought I would surprise her with Club Level this time.

My question is... to Garden View or Water View... that is the question!

For those of you who have experienced one or the other - what would you suggest?? Is there a big difference? If I wanted to be near the club lounge - would that make a difference in what view I should book??

It's only for 2 nights - but since we are sailing on the Fantasy - I wanted to start our vacation out right....

This will be a relaxing, slow-paced two days - so we won't be rushing through the parks.

Thanks for any advice!

Michelle

Yep. Sitting in a room waiting with all the groomsmen & my son. What can i say. You guys relax me.

I am sure the wedding was magical! Hope to run into you in the lounge!

We are in a GV room and it is great. Just down the hall from the lounge. Perfect distance. For us the extra cost of WV was not worth it but we did not want a roof if that makes sense so GV it was!

Teena--See you tomorrow. The crazy little boy obsessed with the lobby and the stairs will be mine (and I will be the frazzled one chasing him while trying to see an official hello to you)!

Thanks for the response. I saw that some of the rooms had pods and I didn't know if BCV had changed to pods or to Keurig as the suites had Keurig.:goodvibes So I will plan on getting coffee when we go shopping. Thanks, Penny:flower3:

Teena I am so sad that you will not be there during our visit. I am however excited for you and your dude ranch visit

Less than 24 hours before my plane takes off !!

I did early boarding (even though I'm traveling alone and probably could have checked in at 24 hours) and got A19!! Bonus: I have some free drink coupons and will be happy to enjoy a tasty beverage!

Is anybody having trouble sending a PM? I can't even get into my "notification" page to send one.

My "quick links" isn't working either. I can't seem to get any of those links to work. I'm thinking they're working on the website. :confused3

But on happier news, the banana seems to be dancing again.

I am currently sitting in a hotel room outside LAX ready for our plane trip to Orlando tomorrow, we are going to spend a night in hotel near MCO tomorrow night so that we can arrive at the Yacht Club on Magical Express early Monday morning.

For all those of you who were curious, yeah my wife spilled the beans to the kids on Wednesday, so I failed to get there reaction on camera! Boo. And she's usually the cool one of the group. They are currently in bed while a stay up worrying. I have a feeling I'm going to crash at the Hilton tomorrow night.

I can't believe it's almost here. Everyone is beyond excited!

Hello fellow Y&BC friends! I haven't posted since last fall, but have 'lurked' off and on, and have been catching up.

Hey Robyn, I wish I was going to be at the DIS Meet with you and Teena. After all, I was at the first one (and even provided the picture on page 1 of the thread)! And I met so many wonderful people there!!

Dee, you have done such a great job with this thread!! I wish I met you in person, but at least I met 'Flat Dee' back in August 2010. It's hard to believe we are not going back to YC/BC this August after having back to back August trips there (BC in '10 and YC in '11). We still talk so much about those trips. My kids are grown (21 yr old son and almost 19 yr old daughter) but they love WDW. And we met Teena and Pete who are our friends. :grouphug:

The good news is we are going to Disneyland (first timers!) in August. We will be visiting with my brother-in-law and his family (they live in Fullerton, CA) and also staying a few nights close to Disneyland. I want to see it all! It may be smaller than WDW, but they pack a lot into those 2 parks! And we are very excited to see the new Cars Land. I actually posted a couple of times in the DL threads on here...but saved my big post (haha I think post 500 makes me a 'DIS veteran'?) for my favorite thread.

It's good to be 'back'...
Kerry

Hi Kerry!

I'm headed to WDW but I am Disneyland local so I can help as long as you don't mind waiting for a response (I'll be in Florida thru the 28th). My first question is how many people in your traveling party and how many days are going to be able to visit the resort?
