Teena, congrats on the Fantasy cruise. Two weeks ago we booked a five night Disney cruise to Canada. Can not wait! :cool1:

It's so nice to hear about how better you are feeling now. :thumbsup2
How have your feet been holding up? Did your time off and vacation help ease the pain?

My right foot is fine now thanks to the orthotics. My left is better but I'm thinking I may need another shot (OUCH). It's definitely better. I can actually work pain free for about 4 hours before it starts aching. Before the orthotics and shot, I'd go about one hour and then start popping the pills.

Thanks for asking!!!

Thanks Teena - I'm definitely hoping to stop by and meet you in person! DH and I were last at YC in 2010 and unfortunately you were sick the day we came through to say hello :( so we will try again this year! I'm really glad we could do the Illuminations Cruise again - it's pricey but DH and I did it for our 10th Anniv and it was just such a nice way to enjoy the show and our Captain Jody was so sweet. This year we are celebrating #15 but this time with the kiddos and Gma (my MIL). Both of our children were born in August as well as our Anniversary so it's the perfect month for a Disney trip! :goodvibes

Looking forward to meeting you!!! Sounds like a wonderful trip!

Teena - how exciting to have booked another cruise!

We are traveling with friends in December, who are considering booking club level. We are DVC, so we'll be at the villas. Does this mean that we would not be able to visit our friends in their room? We know that the food/lounge is reserved for those on club level, but is the whole floor (their room) off limits too?

Technically only people that have a key that allows them to the fifth floor are allowed up there. Will they say anything about people visiting in your room? Probably not but the problem we've been having is people will try to bring friends up to their room, go into the lounge, load up on stuff and take it all back. When you are talking appetizers, wine, beer, etc., that throws off our inventory big time. We know how many guests are CL guests and order accordingly. I'm sure you wouldn't even think about doing that but others have done this and have been asked to leave. Makes it very uncomfortable.

If it were me, and this is only my personal opinion, I'm not talking as a CM, I would not take anybody up to the fifth floor unless they had fifth floor access themselves. I would feel very uncomfortable. I'd visit them in their room or in the lobby.

I just contacted reservations to add our 1 night stay at all star sports, and I figured I would check our reservation requests for Yacht Club. They told me that they no longer have cribs available, just pack n plays. Does anyone know if this is true?

I'll check tomorrow but as far as I know we still have cribs ... not alot though.

Checking in one week from today!!! :dance3::dance3::dance3:

I have so much to do this week, my oldest DS is having a birthday party, and I have to do all the back to school shopping since we return the day before school starts! I'm starting to panic about getting everything done as well as all the packing too!:eek::eek: But its all worth it of course :cloud9::cloud9:

I hope so!! Otherwise we'll definitely have to bring our own toddler air mattress if we want any hope of HRH sleeping. :-)

OK, we leave before dawn on Wednesday for the airport.

I've just finished 4 loads of laundry. The kids have my official OK to begin packing. :) (Of course, tomorrow when my youngest is out on her friend's boat, I have every intention of checking her suitcase!!)

We are leaving Wednesday too :cool1::cool1::cool1: Leaving the house at 3:30AM. I will get no sleep the night before

Hope you have a great trip, see ya down there :woohoo:

We need to have a DISboards meet up next week at YC/BC! Seems like a lot of us will be there! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Thanks for the info. You are right. We are not interested in food from them (we have food allergies, so sit down meals are our norm), but I could see how some people would take advantage of this. This is our friends' first trip and they are looking for us to show them around. I am not sure what they will want to do, as they wanted to meet up in their room every day. We are staying in a studio, so with our 4 and their 3, it's not much of a good option. They haven't booked yet, but were most likely going to book concierge. At least now, we can give them lots of info. Personally, I don't want to even go on the floor, as I could see how it might make some people uncomfortable. Thanks again for the info.

Your studio and a room on the fifth floor are about the same size wise. In fact, yours would be more comfortable since you have a bed and a sofa bed in your room so once the sofa is folded up, there is more room in your room. Their room is just two queen beds ... a regular hotel room.

The note on the poster on DDs bedroom door now says 12 sleeps until Florida, so that means 20 sleeps until Yacht Club.

There are three really nice areas in which you could meet with your friends each day. All were built when the villas were added. The first is the Solarium which is off the lobby of the BC proper. Several comfortable seating areas and a large screen TV. The Drawing Room off the lobby of the villas has seating areas and a large screen TV, too. Both areas are not busy and the latter is usually empty. There is another public area called the Breezeway off the lobby of the villas. Not quite as much seating but still a good meeting area.

Teena, have you been on the Fantasy yet?

Pinkgirl, you must be so excited!! Loved yesterday's Opening Ceremonies by the way. You must all be proud.:thumbsup2

Good to know. Thanks Teena. I've never really looked into the BC rooms, as we always stay villas. I don't plan to spend much time in my room anyway. :)
I've been pushing to meet at the Marketplace, so we can get going to the parks or SAB quicker.

We are staying the first two weeks of Sept at CR for DH convention. However, I am seriously considering changing our 2nd week to BC. My DD and her family are also going to be at WDW the 2nd week (they are staying at ASMovies since DGS loves Toy Story). DH and I are planning on keeping DGS (age 2) one day while my DD and her hubby tour alone. Would I have a problem taking him to swim at SAB with us? He is under 3 years of age so he won't have a room key or ticket anyway:confused3 Should I add him on to our room?

Doesn't matter really. I'd probably call and add him to the reservation now ... if you add him to the room after you check-in, it's hard. But it's not necessary. Lily is just 12 months and we have her on our reservation ... then she'll be official.

thanks, Teena....I will probably do that when I make the change...that way he can spend the night with us if he wants to....;)
