The new program is called magic memories. Is the best price the pre order during sign up for my disney experience? Thank you D.

Memory Maker is $149 if you order on-line. If you order on-line, you should do so at least 3 days prior to the first picture being taken.

The price is $199 if you purchase at WDW.

Does it work essentially like the PhotoPass Plus system did, except it's just tied into your MagicBand?

I don't think so, the images appear in your My Disney Experience account as an image so I am thinking that is what you download from not a disc. I could be wrong though we just got here today and I am still figuring things out.

Memory Maker replaced PhotoPass+ and as Dee77 noted, it's an all digital product.

It's very similar but there are a few differences:
- With MemoryMaker+ you don't get the free CD of WDW photos
- With MemoryMaker+, you don't get the lanyard card, everything goes to the magic band
- With MemoryMaker+, they check the date the picture taken and don't allow you to add any photo 3 days or more before you purchased. With the older product, I was able to add a Photopass Card from an MNSSHP taken weeks before the first day of usage of the Photopass+ card.
- With MemoryMaker+, all the magic bands in your party can be used for the photo and it will go to your account. Unlike the old pass where they'd have to give you a card, and you'd have to add it to your online account
- Similarly for rides, all the magic bands in your party will get their ride photos scanned in their magic bands. In the old pass, you'd have to scan it in the one pass, so tougher if you split up.

I believe that with both, you can choose to just download the photos, or have them ship you a CD.

According to a CM at the Epcot Camera Center, this only applies if you purchase on-line at the discounted price.

If you purchase at full price while at WDW, photos already in your MyDisneyPhotoPass.com account will be available for download.
