Depending on how you sent it, you may be able to recall or delete the message. Not much help if the recipient has taken a screenshot of your message, but it may be worth a try.

DVC has a LOT of fairly good internal checkpoints to prevent, say, an antagonist from booking something on your contract, or gaining further information on you . On the other hand? They probably COULD pay your dues .
Not sure that anyone can use only the contract number to do anything... It's public information... If someone knew your name, they can easily search for your deed on the Orange County Comptroller's website and see the contract number...
