Every Black Friday Old Navy gives wristbands to the first people in line (until they run out). The past two years those people could get a free video game with a $20 purchase.

This year you have to spend $40 in their store. But this year those people will get a Kodak Waterproof EasyShare Digital Camera along with a coupon for one of their medium Kodak wall calendars. I'm thrilled!

Last year I was one of the last two people in line who got a wristband before they ran out, so I'm bringing a chair and a blanket this year because I'm looking at a cold 3-hour wait outside our store until they open their doors at midnight!

what time would you need to get there to get one?

That's a good question... I noticed on the flier that some Outlet stores open at 10pm. Ours opens at midnight and last year I got there at 10pm and waited 2 hours and managed to be one of the last two people to get them.

It all depends on how many people think it's a good deal to buy $40 worth of stuff for the camera package. My store is right across the street - so we'll probably just make a night of it and set up chairs around 9pm and bring some electronic gadgets for entertainment. My thought is, if people are there before the time I'm willing to show up, they wanted it more than I did.

Problem is, they only ever say 'limited quantities per store'. Two years ago that was about 40 wristbands. This past year it was about half that! Who knows how many cameras they'll give away per store.

I work there and we just had a meeting about our up coming season.

They said that each store should have 25 cameras.

We will also be open Thanksgiving day this year. Then closing and reopening at midnight.

This is my first Black Friday working retail so it should be interesting.

Oh thank you SOOOO much for that information. People in the line as it snakes around the building get so disappointed when they find out how few are available... it's good to give them an idea (and good to know when to get there!!). Last year by the time the doors opened there must've been 200 people in line. They had to stop entry at one point simply for fire code reasons.
