Abbott and Costello
Felix the Cat
The 3 Stooges
Diver Dan
Soupy Sales
Rin Tin Tin
Sky King
Chiller Theater
Lloyd Thaxton Show (don't know if this was a local NYC show)
Betty Boop and Little Lulu

Don't know if you would consider it a show, but I loved Schoolhouse Rock.

Preamble
I'm Just a Bill
Conjunction Junction
Interjections

The New Zoo Revue
Gigglesnort Hotel
Romper Room

I watched The New Zoo Review and Romper Room as well. I LOVED Gigglesnort hotel! I also remember another show on around that time called Fudge (I believe that was the name of it).

Here are a few others:
Lambchop (Sharry Lewis) - I can't remember the title of the show
Dungeons & Dragons (AKA D&D)
The Kid's Super Power Hour
USA's Cartoon Express (was on Sunday mornings)

I also liked a lot of the cartoons that were on Nickelodeon back in the 80's as well.

The cartoons and shows that were on between the 1960's and 1980's were so good. We could always count on watching Saturday morning cartoons on NBC, ABC, CBS and Fox. Now, I think just one or two of those stations carry cartoons and not for as long as they used to. What happened?

I was born in the mid-90's so I loved Rugrats, Little Bear and Doug (I got a Doug shirt at Hot Topic for my birthday :D)

Oh gosh, I forgot all about Lambchop!! I think they still show it here on PBS sometimes. I LOVED that show when I was little. :goodvibes

Best old kids show ever...You Can't Do That on Television!

That was a good one, too! And the beginning of slime for Nickelodeon - pretty classic.

As a young child...

Pee-Wee's Playhouse
Maple Town
The Polkadot Door
The Koala Bears (?)
The Elephant Show

When I was a little older...

Are You Afraid of the Dark?
Fudge
Clarissa Explains it All
The Adventures of Pete and Pete

Anyone remember Davey and Goliath?

Yep! DH and I used to watch that when we were little. The repeats are still shown on one or two channels we have. It's amazing how times have changed and how families used to be back then.

For all you "young kids" out there: I haven't seen my son's favorite cartoon mentioned : He Man & the Masters of the Universe........I have the power!!!! (you have to say that in a booming voice!!) :rotfl2:

That was my son's favorite cartoon also. He also enjoyed Thundercats. I used to watch them with him. I think I enjoyed them just as much as he did. And don't forget She-Ra.
