Wow, that's interesting. I assume that's for 2057 contracts? What's the actual price they're charging? What does a 150-point contract cost, with a $20 per point discount? I wonder if that means OKW resales will be grabbed up a bit more on ROFR by Disney? Seems like there were a couple months there when all OKW contracts passed through.
Personally I’d rather just buy VGF for a monorail resort, lower dues and an additional 7 years for 10 dollars more per point or however many it is.Yeah, it'd be $152.50 per point at 200 points. But those dues, though...
Waiting on ROFR for our first DVC contract, a 100 point OKW resale. Does anyone think Disney will start taking contracts again to fill orders on this incentive? It doesn't seem as compelling as the AKL flash sale, but I always try to remember the Disboard isn't the universe of buyers!

Always one of our favorites, too - so many fun family memories at OKW. Such a relaxing, peaceful feel. And, of course, the original!Have confidence it'll pass ROFR.
OKW is the best! Can't beat the point charts, size of the villas and parking just steps away (if you have a car). It's the only resort my family feels truly relaxed.
Yes, they are. And OKW is unique in that a majority of the resale listings appear to be 2042 contracts, but there are also many 2057 contracts. Definitely a buyer's market for OKW, with a shorter-term option or a longer-term option. That's what makes the DVC direct offers interesting. And there are soooooo many OKW resale contracts out there....Most of the brokers are flooded with them.
I wouldn't!! Only possible reason I can think of is if someone feels the need to get a 'blue card' membership and the benefits that come with it. But if someone purchases for $60-$90 more per point, that's a lot of benefits to make up over the course of the contract. But I guess if someone uses the points for Riviera or other Members exchange trips that aren't available to those with 'white card' membership, maybe it works for them......Why would you buy OKW at those direct prices when you could probably nab a good contract on resale for under $100 a point ?
