From the reviews I've read, this area seems to have some of the nicest room views. However, no one seems to mention it when talking of "What's your favorite area?" I've heard Southpoint, Turtle Pond, Penninsula Road, everything, it seems, except Miller's Road. This was the area we were going to request for our next trip, but now I'm rethinking, since no one mentions it as a favorite. So anyone who's stayed there-how is it?

I've only stayed in Bldg 20 (twice) in a 2 BR HA villa, The villa was fine. The view was of the quiet pool, not what I wanted. The downside was that the buses make a turnaround there and when you are getting in you car it seems like they are going to run over you. I would not recommend where we were to anyone. next trip I will request any bldg other than 20. I have always wanted to stay in the bldgs that have a view of the "island green" but hane not been that lucky.

Miller Road is where "our" building is (20), but we never stayed there until last week. We had a pretty good view of the lighthouse and the "fountain" near the bridge. We were in #1721, a one-bedroom. Only negative for us - no second door in the laundry room to gain entry to the bathroom. I knew the older buildings had that glitch, but forgot until we were there. We made do. So, we have no bad things to say about Miller; it was fine.

My favorite location is South Point. We just enjoy watching the watercraft ply the waters. It is very peaceful watching the critters, too.

We just stayed at OKW, bldg, 18 (#1831 studio) and it was fine. Our view was slightly obstructed thanks to the palm fronds, but we could see the small pond and the fairway of I think hole #6. We could walk to the Miller Rd. bus stop in a couple of minutes, the HH within 10 walking comfortably, and the quiet pool was nearby. It was our first stay here and will return after we hit each of the other DVC resorts, SSR, our home resort is next at Christmas.

I have stayed a few times on Miller Road. I like the location, but I did not like when we were in BLD 20 with the bus turnaround. Comes so close to your parked cars. I'm amazed how they can maneuver those buses in such a confined space. Also, the last bus stop before the HH. Years ago it was the first bus stop, I liked that alot. :flower:

We love the views from buildings 21 and 22. The only problem for this area would be the lack of the extra door to the master bath. Even though we don't have guests in the living room too often, I still like that extra door for the convenience to the laundry room.

this section was so popular years ago - that was the reason they changed the bus stop

It was the first (or second if they went to HH first).

I love it - still!!!

I loved building 18 stayed in it around 5 times.

but lately I have been told they were working on it, it is full, it is reserved, it is something in the last 5 years that I haven't been able to stay in that section.

the only door to the master bath was fine for me.

Now it is the 4th stop before hh (last stop)

We were in Bldg 18 in December. It was 1821-a 1br. I would definitely stay in this section again. It was a 5 min walk to the quiet pool and like everyone else is saying, the last stop before HH. That was never a problem for us since we went when we did. I guess it could be during the summer months when it is busier.

The section of Miller's Road closer to the HH area isn't bad, but I hate the far end. It seems very tight down there to me, and there's a lot of highway noise IMHO.

Be careful. We stayed in Building 18, Miller's Road, several years ago on rented points and enjoyed it so much that I ended up buying a membership of my own.

Disney Doll, I too thought that building 22 seemed a long ways from everything, but we did not hear the highway at all when we stayed in a GV there. I really liked building 21 for the view and the ease of getting to the bus stop. I also really like building 16.

Hi there,

We were lucky enough to get a studio in bldg 20 during a two vacation last Mar/Apr, the place is great. The lovely vistas and the peace and quiet, just a great place to vacation.

Does anyone know where I can get detailed maps of the DVC resorts ? I would like to be able to refer to a map and see where certain Bldgs are so when I book I have a better idea what im talking about.

I have pretty much just been taking what they give me . So far So good ... Just got back from BWV :cool1:

some maps are listed in this link (but not all)

http://www.wdwinfo.com/resortmaps/

maybe doc's site can help you - go look for a post that Doc has answer - his link is in his signature.

better - Webmaster Doc - at the bottom of this board - click on his name - then click on his home page.

We had a nice view of the golf course from a GV in #22. No road noise was our experience. Of course the view from the front is not great - Bonnet Creek Pkwy. We would go back to that area anytime.
