How much would this cost to purchase a DVC membership with this amount of points and what would be the closing and annual dues. Thanks for any info,

Unless you are already a member, you cannot purchase less than 160 points directly from Disney.

50 Point contracts are available via resale, and the price per point will vary.

You will need to analyze each contract separately to determine its value. The value of a particular contract will vary depending on the number (if any) of banked points, borrowed points, holding status points and/or reservation points. Other items that may affect the price will include the resort and in the case of OKW, the contract expiration date.

The price you offer will need to be high enough to pass Disney's ROFR (Right of First Refusal).

Negotiable items on a resale include closing costs, and annual maintenance dues.

TTS currently has a couple of OKW 50 pt contracts for $85 per point = $4250 + $325ish in closing costs. no current pts on these contracts - pts start coming in your 2008 use year. what is available tomorrow may be different...resales are always hit or miss.

annual dues are $4.56 per point at OKW = $228 per year or you can have monthly amounts from your checking account. (there may or may not be a $30 credit related to responding to the extension offer.)

To purchase through Dis, you'll pay more and Dis requires you to purchase a minimum of 160 points. Via resale, there is no minimum required. However, if you purchase OKW via resale, the expiration date on the contract is 2042. If you purchase OKW through Dis, it expires in 2057.

AKV and SSR contracts, whether buying through Dis or resale, expire in 2057 and 2054 respectively. Again, 160 point minimum through Dis and no minimum required if buying through resale.

Just wanted to make sure you were aware of the expiration date differences. It may or may not matter to you. By the way, WELCOME to Disboards!!!
