old friends

I signed on at classmates.com recently and was contacted by my first best friend. He was 10 and I was 9. We "hung out" all through the school years but lost track of each other. He saw my name at my old high school and contacted me. What fun to remember the old days. Through this same web site we found two others from our school group. Saturday we are getting together for the first time in about 35 years! Has anyone else had a reunion with an old friend? Would you like to have a reunion with old classmates or a special friend?

I think this is just terrific that you are meeting up with old friends.

I think that there are a number of people I would like to see again.....people who have slowly disappeared from my life.

I am still bestest friends with my best friend from childhood. We met each other when we were in Kindergarten. We have been geographically separated over the last 25 years for various reasons, yet we speak to one another AT LEAST once a week by phone. We usually visit one another ever two years or so....

Friends are one of the great things about Life!

LOL! I was talking to my best friend today and she asked me why she couldn't find me on classmates.com. She just wasn't looking in the right spot.

There are a couple of friends I'd like to see again, we keep in touch, but don't get to see each other often. Location, work, families, life being too busy in general has been the problem. Maybe one day soon our schedules will permit us to get together.

Good luck on Saturday, elmosmom. The best thing about having a best friend in your life is even though it's been awhile since you've seen each other, after a few minutes, it's like you've never parted.

Very cool!

I'm still very close to the same core group of friends I've had since grade school - we all still live within 60 miles of our hometown, so we get together often, even though our lives have taken us in different stages over the years.

There are a few people who I have lost track of, and would love to see again! Janet Hoffman, for one! Janet, ARE YOU OUT THERE? LOL! You never know! She was a great college friend with whom I have completely lost track of. Would love to see her again, one of these days when I have two seconds I might look into finding her.
