Old Disney Park photos

Here's one that I believe I took in 1977 when I was 10 years old. It was horribly faded and had a bunch of thumbtack holes from having been on a bulletin board for years and years. Photoshop cleaned it up pretty well, but I'm not thrilled about the way the grass looks.

Great shot! I was bored and used Photoshop on your pic too! I hope you don't mind. Here's what I got...I got tired of fixing the trees tho.

TuppenceABag: I need to take a class in photoshop. Great job!! I have photoshop 6.0 but have no clue how to use it!!! :confused3

Here are a couple I found from the early to mid 70's.

Hey mom took our picture in almost the same spot!

This is my sister (sticking her tongue out) and I in 1983.

Okay, am I the only dork looking for myself in these old pics?! :)

Nope, I am doing the same thing! LOL! Wouldn't that be so bizzare if you found yourself in someone else's posted pictures!!! LOL!!!

hey Tuppenceabag, you looked a lot like my brother when you were younger :) If the picture was taken a few years later, you could have been him!

I so wish I had some photos from our family trip back in 83 or 84. We went during Donalds birthday which I have read was in 84 but my dad insists we went in 83. I am not really sure but no photos either way. I am loving this thread, I hope lots more pictures are posted.

Oh, and the lack of strollers and CHILDREN is a little weird to me too!!!

You're good! I don't mind at all! :thumbsup2 Did you use the paintbrush tool?

ill dig up my old pictures - circa 1995-1998 when i was 6-10 - tomorrow, but i love all these older ones! i could never wear heels all day at MK! i can't even imagine it!

as a 9 year old girl i was fascinated by the pink cake, so i guess im also in the minority of loving it! i also like what theyve done for 50. i tried to take pictures of it but it came out horrible!

i feel like i remember the faces on the mickey ice cream bars, but im not sure...had they disappeared before 1995? if not, i definitely downed a few myself!

thought I might be able to answer my own questions by looking at the pics...but couldn't. Do you ever get a question in your mind and just go nuts until you figure out the answer?
What was the BLSRS before it was the BLSRS?

I would love to see Disney via the Skyview now! I wonder why they stopped that. What a great way to get from one end of the park to the other.

There were lots of reasons why they stopped. Cast members getting hurt, people spitting, throwing stuff, or doing drugs on it, it had to be closed all the time b/c of wind (or rain, or lightning, etc).

The area where Buzz Lightyear is now has gone through many changes over the years....I believe this is how the timeline went....(correct me if I am wrong someone)

If you Had Wings (1972-1987)
Ifyou Could Fly (1987-1989)
Dreamflight?
Take Flight (1989-1998)
Buzz Lightyear (1998)

This picture really points out the "where are the strollers?" issue. Lots of kids - no strollers. I guess back then people were more likely to only use strollers for kids too young to walk.

Thanks to everyone for posting their old pictures, particularly those from the 70's and 80's. What a great trip down memory lane. We have tons of pics from that time, but my darling mother is sort of forgetful and cannot find any of them. This has really inspired me to search again.

Not only that, but back then Main Street USA was uphill both ways! :teeth:
