Any idea where this shop is?

The TTC?! No. I am 97% sure this is the huge shop in Communicore East, now replaced with Innoventions exhibits. That is certainly an EPCOT uniform on the CM. It could be the shop from Communicore West, where MouseGear is now, but I don't remember the area outside that shop being bright like the area around Imagination, as seen here.

No..:confused3 .. I think the picture that is the TTC is the one with the 2 kids sitting on the concrete bench.
This one with the big MM is in the old shop in Epcot.
I remember the steps leading upstairs. And I am pretty sure it was where the new Mousegears is now.

Yes, It was taken at the TTC just to the left of the resort Monorail entrance. I actually had DS and DD sit in the same location this past trip and I took a picture. I believe there is a coffee stand located just a little to the left of this location now.

Could you post the new pic you just took? Would be great to see a "now and then" of the landscaping.

Do you remember where those steps went to? Looks like a sitting area or something with the potted plants.......

Those pictures are both from the Centorium, which was the shop prior to Mouse Gear. It had an elevated walkway that ran along the back edge, with floor to ceiling windows, and benches to rest, and you went down steps to get into the shop.

Thanks for the then and now pics. Its amazing to see how big the trees have gotten in the background.

Adventurer's Club in the early '90s

Here are some of my own pics from the early '80s. Not sure about the date on the first, the rest are from 1984

Morocco under construcition...

The street scene from World of Motion (loved that ride)...

Another favorite from the World of Motion, the Lean Machine! I doubt I ever rode WoM without watching the Lean Machine video at least three times. Alas, that area was quite dark and I never got a decent shot of the real thing, so the brochure will have to do...

My ticket to ride. If I recall the price on the back was $18. The good ol' days indeed!

And, though I've posted it on another thread, this is one of my favorite vintage pics, Spaceship Earth with the acrylic sculpture in front (pre-Leave-a-Legacy blight!).

Does that ticket say March 12 1984....that is the day before my date of birth :)

totally OT, but my birthday is also March 13 of 1984. just had to give a shout out!!! :cool1: :cool1:

Also, I have enjoyed this thread..thanks too all who have submitted pics. They are great!!

I just posted these on another thread here on the Disboards, but I love this thread so much, I had to contribute.

These scans are from my DW's Grad Night at WDW in 1982:

These first four are of the park map for Grad Night:

The artwork on this map sure seems more groovy 70's than it does hip 80's.

Here are scans of the front and back of the scrapbook page where DW kept the map:

I think everyone looks surprisingly normal, considering this was 26 years ago!
