I recently found some pictures of a visit to Disney World from August 1982. My grandmother lived in Orlando and my sister and I were visiting her and for our birthdays -both in August - she took us to Disney World for the day. Back then it was just the Magic Kingdom but Epcot was going to open in October so we got to take the monorail over to see a little preview of Epcot. My birthday is March 13th too!! ('81 though)
Oh Kim, my friend...I just saw this post. I have A LOT of catching up to do on the Teacher's board. I will try to pop on over there tonight!
LOVE the old pics everyone! I'll see if I can find some more to add when I get home.
I grew up in Florida so every school trip, church youth group trip and weekend trip was there. (WOO HOO!!) Went many many times and loved it!! Anyway, I dug up a couple of pictures.
A scene of Fantasyland (IASW) in the same year I believe.

Great pictures! It is fun to see Fantasyland so uncrowded.
I think the balloons that people were mentioning are the same kinds that they're giving away during the "What Will You Celebrate?" Tour. From the videos and pictures I've seen they look to be the same ones.![]()
They have them but they are inside a clear one.
Depends on when the photo was taken (month, day of the week, time). I've seen Fantasyland look just as deserted recently (i.e. last week) during the 3:00 Parade.Great pictures! It is fun to see Fantasyland so uncrowded.
