Old Disney Commercials You'd Love to See Again

ZZUB said:
I’m hopeful someone here has the answer to this question.

Is there any place to find old Disney World commercials? We were watching the Lion King DVD last night and it had one of the old commercials, “Fireflies.” It made me wonder if there was some place where some of the other old commercials can be found.

There used to be a great spot of a family with their little girl and as they’re getting settled into their hotel room, the little girl goes and changes into a princess dress. She asks her parents how she looks and then it ends, I think, with her hugging Cinderella.

Can you help a dad out? Does anyone know this commercial and if so, where I could find it again?

Hey Z.

Just givin' you a little bump. Cause you were below the bra thread. And we can't have that.

Maybe somebody out there can help ya with that question of yours. I googled it but couldn't find anything other than what Shelby and Stephsparrow did.

Good luck.

Guess what?

I just got the FUNNIEST freakin' PM from someone here that wants to know if we actually really hate each other. They want me to lay off you Z-Man.

They don't think I'm a "sweet person".

Either.

I just about PMP. It was very funny.

I'll fire it to you in a PM.

Oh.

Nevermind.

That.

I'm about to reply back to them, very seriously, that I loathe you and your TRs.

Geez. ZZUBdude. This is more fun than Xmas to Me(l).

Who put the "X" in Christmas. BTW?

Oh. Yeah. The answer to your question is this:

Lagavulin Scotch is a distinctively Islay malt. Powerful and demanding. With a dominant aroma and a dry, peaty, smoky flavour complimented by a trace of sweetness. Sweetness, ZZUB. Sweet like ME(L).

You'll love it.

You are welcome.

my favorite... ALL time favorite WDW commercial is an older couple is heading out the door with suitcases. The phone rings, and the woman answers it. We only hear her side of the conversation....

Hello?

Yes, we're leaving for WDW, loading the car now.

No sweetie, you can't come with us this time.

Not this time. I know you really want to come with us.

Why? Because I don't think your wife would like it.

Pan to a thirty-something man in an office hugging a picture of him and Mickey, crying. :happytv:

***that may not have been the exact dialogue, but you get the picture. :teeth:

My next favorite is 4 men on a golf course. One guys phone rings. It is his wife, asking where he is. He says he is on the ToT, and then starts screaming, the men join in, and he says Whoa, that was scary. She laughs, says she is glad he is having fun and hangs up. She looks at the 3 women, and says "they're on the golf course" :lmao: I think this was a Magical Gathering commercial.

I was just going to post that one! I feel like this every time my parents go without me.... The meanies... So what if I'm an adult with a child of my own? I should get to go to WDW with my parents!!

i'm going to go back and read the replies after i post, but i have to say i want ot see the one where this little girl RUNS to Mickey and says:

"I've been waiting my WHOLE LIFE to meet you"

 i cry my eyes out every time i would see it...i'm even i bit misty right now!!

I love the one where they show the boy sleeping and all of his Mickey drawings. The parents come in and look at the pictures and wonder what he's dreaming about. Then they say, "Good night, Walt..."

Makes me tear up just thinking about it.

okay i got goosebumps reading this one and i've never seen it.

Mel Happyhaunt's Famous Dried Meat Delight

8 ounces plain cream cheese at room temp.
1 jar (2.5 ounces) Hormel Dried Beef... finely shredded
1 wing of bat
1/4 cup finely diced sweet onion
1/4 cup finely minced red pepper
1/2 tsp. white pepper 'cause I'm fancy like that
1/2 cup sour cream
1 eye of neut
1/2 tsp. granulated garlic
1 pkg. chopped pecans toasted nice and toasty
~ 1/2 of the pecans stir into other ingreds.
~ 1/4 to sprinkle over the top before baking
~ 1/4 to throw over left shoulder for good luck

Bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hr. Serve hot with crackers. Wheat Thins are good. As are rice crackers. So are Ritz. Or Stoned Wheat ones. Those are good. Too.

There.

This thread seems to have wandered far afield. Again.

Big surprise.

I have no clue why Mel is posting recipies for gross-out food, but I'm afraid if I report her post she'll get kicked out. Again.

I love the "Goodnight, Walt" commercial as well. I'd love to find these someplace.

ANYBODY READING THIS: If you know where we can find these commercials, post a link. There has to be someone nerdier and more google savvy than this on these boards.

I was wondering whether they were on any of the older DVDs since I found "fireflies" on the Lion King DVD.

:thumbsup2 Thanks for the links, I hadn't seen the Contemporary one from 1971 at all. :cool1:

I'd forgotten about that one-I love it! Part of the reason is that it seems as if DH is always on the golf course at WDW.

I'm really jacked up that I found this thread.

Cause there are a lot of Disney commercials that I like. And you know which one I really like?

Oddly enough, the fireflies one. I just LOVE that one.

It gets me everytime. I get all verklempt. I love the Little Souvenir one too. The little girl's really cute and funny. I like the Too Excited to Sleep one. And the I've Been Waiting My Whole Life To Meet You one too. I think it's really cute and funny too. And I like the new ones. You know, the one where Mickey, or is it Goofy? opens up the package. And they're watching the fireworks at the castle. And the characters look kind of like they're all three dimensional and stuff. That's pretty cool how they make them look that way. I know that's a NEW one but anyway, I like that one. A lot. I like all of them I guess.

But I don't think I would like that recipe. I wonder if you could substitute something for that eye of neut? And wing of bat. Because I have something in mind that might make it taste better. A secret ingredient of sorts. A regional delicacy.

Anyway, sorry I wasn't any help with your question. But good luck with that.
Have you thought about just sitting down and watching all of your Disney DVDs and videos back to back to look for it? That might be an idea. Could be fun. You could call it a ZZUB Disney Marathon and eat lots of popcorn. Or cheese balls. With or without that eye of neut.

IS THERE ANYONE WHO CAN TELL ME WHAT THE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS IS?!

Sorry, I felt like Linus there for a minute. I continue to hold out hope that someone will read this who actually knows the answer to my question. Although I'm beginning to think the commercials in question are in the dreaded Disney Vault.

I hate that thing.

Yeah, the Disney vault. That's where it is.

Hey, any chance I can throw a chatty, nosy coworker that won't leave me alone and won't quit looking at my computer screen in that bad boy? If not, any other suggestions on how to get rid of him? ZZUBster? What would you do in a situation like that?

Oh that's right. Hang on. Done and done.

Okay, that was the faux question. Now for the real one.

Come on people. Let's rally. Old Cinderella commercial. Disney. Family. Resort. That you can watch. On the computer or on the "telly". Yeah, I can use British words too. And I'm a redneck. It's not that hard Z. Any pedantric yahoo can do it.

Anyway, that's what we're looking for here. The commercial.

For a sweet Daddy who's a Big Ole Baddy.

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

What on Earth are you people talking about? :confused3

We're trying to help out a Daddy who wants to find a certain commercial so he can, obviously, show it to his little girl. I'm guessing it's important to him because he can relate to it. With his little girl. Upcoming trip and all.

Oh yeah. And we're having just a little bit of fun in the process. Not a lot though, apparently.

But if you or anybody else out there knows where we can find the old Disney commercial of the little girl dressing up like Cinderella in a resort with her family, let him know.

Because he's a nice guy and we don't want him to go into a rage. He turns green and rips his shirt off his back. Or so we hear.

is the one with something about Disney. In it.

The fireflies one is good.

Too.

I guess.

I'm bumping this thread to help out my good friend ZZUB.

Find an answer to this question.

Please help him. He is a...shudder... "nice guy".

Ick.

I need a shower. Now.

(Pssst Z-Man... I'm invisible now).

Cheers, Mel.

Hey StepSparrow. Just read your post and I wasn't sure if you missed this or not from earlier. So I'll repost it for ya.

Thanks, Shelby and StephSparrow. I appreciate your responses. I looked at the sites you sent me to but I still can't find the commerical I'm looking for. I did enjoy watching a few others. Disney used to have them on their website but I reckon they took them down.

'preace the help. I'm going to keep looking.

It looks like you spent a lot of time finding and posting those links and ZZUB obviously appreciated it. I'm sure everybody else on the thread did too. I think he was just looking for the other one in particular.

Besides, that's just about as warm and fuzzy as ZZUB gets. You should see how he talks to the people he's friends with.

Kidding. That was a joke. Just in case there was any doubt.

Anyway, I'm sure everybody enjoyed watching the links. Thanks for the effort.
