Old Disney Commercials You'd Love to See Again

They asked for Disney commercials, and I found a few, and then like no one cared. lol Thanks for responding!
Stephsparrow: what LaLa said. I did appreciate the links you provided. I watched just about every one of those commercials. But like my buddy Bono sang, I still haven't found what I'm looking for. Sigh.

La2: thanks for being my advocate. But did you know I actually prefer Pepsi One? No offense, I know when you called me Coke you meant it as a compliment. I used to be a Coke guy, but my wife converted me to Diet Pepsi and then I discovered Pepsi One. I do like the new-new Diet Coke but if given a choice I'll take Pepsi One.

Also, sometimes now, I call it pop.

I need to get back to the south.

Anyway, for anyone else still reading this, please ignore the above and let me know if you have found the commercial in question.

No problem. But now I gotta go google advocate. Is that anything like being your Yoko Ono? Shhh. Don't tell Mel.

As if the Pepsi thing wasn't enough, you call it pop?

Allright, that's it. I am offended. You're on Ignore.

Have you done the Disney Marathon thing that someone mentioned earlier? You might find it that way, Z. Just stock up on lots of pork rinds and Pepsi One (blech) beforehand.

Living on the west coast I never remembered seeing WDW commercials growing up (unless it was during the parade or a special on the Disney Channel) but we saw plenty of Disneyland ones. I remember ones from the mid 80s when they had the Blast to the Past theme as well as the State Fair theme. Those were nice as my brother and I wanted to go really bad. We were surpirsed with a trip during the Blast to the Past celebration! I think that somewhere on a tape (of who kows what) we have the State Fair commercial.

In the scene with the dancers in white, my hubby is in there dancing...he was between 16-18. He said Landis directed it REALLY late at night, and it was bitterly cold.

He said that the high schoolers got paid a bag lunch and a ticket into MGM when it opened. However, all of the other extras got paid actually money. Hehehehe. :)

While I've never seen the "goodnight Walt" one, I LOVED the little souvie one :)

Wait.

I forgot.

Which one am I looking for?

I have a crap load of old Disney Videos and DVD's with comercials on them...

I love the little Souvie one it came out just about the time I gave birth to my 1st of 2 disney souvies.

My husband and I really enjoy the too excited to sleep

also the one where they have the boy looking amazed and the parents are asking him to go on inside because there is more and he is too amazed just at the entrance.

Hey ZZUB.

Just checking to see if you're still hearing Bono in your head today. I'm off to the 7-11. It's lunchtime, you know. I hear they're running a special on corn dogs and 2 liters of Pepsi One. Plus they've got those cool tin cans full of cheese. I mean, granted, it's no Cinderella's Gala Feast or Le Cellier, but it'll do in a pinch.

Anyway, hope ya find your commercial soon. Haley says she's still looking through all her videos and DVDs for it. Hi Haley. She'll let ya know when she comes across it.

I think Master G's on the hunt too. He's a "full on computer dude" so maybe he can come up with something.

Hope ya find it.

I'm reporting this thread.

It's getting way too off topic.

Check out the posts from that fellow "ZZUB". And "La La".

The REAL topic here is: OLD DISNEY COMMERCIALS.

Find 'em people. And report back.

This is your mission.

Go.

Coke, Diet coke, Pepsi, Pepsi One... what is this?

Crap?

Everyone knows I am Coke.

He is Kool Aid.

Minus the Kool.

Hi ZZUBie! Hi LALALALALA!

I'm bumping this thread for you all.

ZZUB:

My favorite Disney commercial is the one that opens with Minnie and Mickey playing tennis at what I assume to be the courts at Grand Floridian. They are volleying the ball back and forth in this park-like setting with soothing classical music in the background. This is where it gets interesting, you hear a loud record scratch and AC/DC's Back in Black begins to blare from the speakers. Two bikini clad evil tennis players appear and begin shooting tennis balls at Minnie and Mickey from one of those tennis ball machines that shoot balls across the net. They increase the speed at which the balls are traveling and Minnie and Mickey are forced to flee the court. The commercial ends in a fade showing both of the evil tennis players winking at the ball boy who looks an awful lot like the french waiter over at Epcot's French restaurant. The words "Remember the Magic" appear and the commercial ends.

Just bumping this thread for my buddy Z.

You know, I was in Wal Mart today and actually looked for a Pepsi One. What's wrong with me? I don't think they have them down here though Z. I couldn't find one anyway. So you might wanna rethink that coming back down south thing. No Pepsi Ones. At least that I could find. You'd have to settle for YooHoos and Diet Coke. BTW, what exactly is new new Diet Coke? I've been wondering and I'm pretty sure that's not another WW reference. Or is it? I've gotten to the point now that if I don't know what you're talking about, I just assume it's West Wing.

Steak Sauce: You know, as many Disney commercials as I have seen, I have yet to see that one. Hmmm. Weird. Were they speaking Pig Latin?

I do have to say that I watched a couple of Peter Pan movies with the kids the other night. And Toy Story. Again. I looked for the commercial but no such luck. So you can mark those off the list.

I think the Lion King DVD was released in 03 so if you could find out which DVDs were released about the same time, you could check those.

Sorry, I know I'm probably the opposite of help but that's all I got.

Good luck.

La2

For the Z.

The La.

Too.

La La La La... Don't phunk with my blog!

All that work and one line... albiet nice... from ZZUB.

It's not fair. I want to bicker.

heh heh.

I'm bumping this for my friend ZZUB who's a...shudder... good guy.

So someone had better help him out.

And soon.

'Cause I'M NOT.

Mel.

Re: looking on old DVDs:

Lion King was released in 2003. It has one old commercial, "Fireflies."
Neither Peter Pan, nor Return to Neverland have special features on them.
Toy Story and Toy Story 2 both came out last year. No old commercials on them (that I found but maybe one is lurking, like LLK). I couldn't find one on Bug's Life, either.

Beauty & the Beast is 2002, I haven't checked that one yet. I also haven't checked: Finding Nemo, Lady & the Paris, Cinderella or Bambi. But since those are all fairly recent, I don't have much hope.

The search is worth it. This commercial was awesome.

Do you have old videos too? My dd watches them in our bedroom (we don't have a DVD player in there) and there are some old commercials at the beginning of them. I remember one for the opening of Animal Kingdom and California Adventure on a couple of them. Maybe you would have better luck there?

thank you to the people who posted the video links, i hadn't seen most of them! :thumbsup2 sadly i can't help out with the commercial zzub is looking for.
does anyone remember the 'nahtazuu' commercial from about 4 years ago? i lived in orlando and it was on ALL the time. i swear, i saw it about 15 times before i smacked myself in the head and yelled "OH! NOT A ZOO!! I GET IT!!!!" yeah, i'm a little slow sometimes.

Have you tried contacting Disney's communications department? The corporate site says to send press-related inquiries to ...

TWDC.CorpCommunications@disney.com

Zenia Mucha
Executive Vice President, Corporate Communications, The Walt Disney Company

They may be able to send you a copy. Good luck.

(While searching the site for a direct e-mail address, I discovered there will be a Tinker Bell movie coming out in 2007. I didn't get much more info because the battery on my laptop is about to die)

Thanks, Lisa-Belle. I hadn't thought of asking Disney. I did search their site because I remember seeing this commercial there back in 2003. I'll send them an email and let y'all know what they say.

If anyone else is interested.

In the answer to this question.

And not whether it's Moors or Moops; Pepsi One or New Diet Coke; Yoo or Hoo (when clearly it's both).

Also, Mel:
