Old Disney Commercials You'd Love to See Again

Does Poohnatic's avatar really freak anybody else out or is it just me?
No it freaks the crap out of me. I spent most of yesterday curled up in the fetal position screaming like a banshee. When that didn't work, I got all hopped up on Yoo Hoo and went for a run.

La2: I don't know where you found the loser smilie, and I don't want to know. I'm just worried that instead of spending time looking for the commercial, you're wasting time looking for MC Hammer-related smilies. Frankly, your nascent fascination with the Hammer is of some concern as well, but there's only so much ram in my head for things to worry about.

And don't blame it on me, I just mentioned the song.

Tink: 'preace your mighty efforts looking for something for someone you don't know. On the other hand, you're looking at Disney stuff, it's not a total waste, right? And MG gets no love just b/c he had to go through 10 pages of google crap. He's a full on computer dude. I would expect nothing less from him.

Pongo: Happy birthday and thanks for looking for me.

Everyone: I'm thinking it has to be on a DVD/video pre-2003. I broke out our Disney World planning DVD from 2 1/2 years ago the other night. Couldn't find the commercial, but that was a fun video to watch. If you have it in your arsenal, watch it for sport; we really liked it.

Okay, I spent the afternoon yesterday freaking out my kids by putting in DVDs JUST to watch the previews. They kept getting all psyched to settle in for a movie and then *poof* the rug pulled out from under them AGAIN.

I checked

The Rescuers
Robin Hood
Sleeping Beauty (both discs)
Cinderella (both discs)
Lion King (both discs)

And, I suppose, also National Treasure, since that's what dh and I eventually watched. No reason it mightn't be on a non-animated Disney film, eh?

Don't give up hope, ZZUB.

We watched ours from last year the other night, Z. There was a pretty cool commercial for the Happiest Celebration on Earth on there but no Cinderella one. And yeah, it puts ya in the mood for the Mouse. The kids were ready to go yesterday after watching it. Us too.

And yes, for the record, I am blaming you. For bringing it up. And don't try to front. You actually remembered there were hand motions for the song. I didn't. Who's got the nascent fascination now Bagel Boy? And what does that even mean exactly?

But just because I like you (although I'm beginning to rethink that as we speak) here's a short list of things not to bring up in my presence unless you want to hear about them for days. Pig parts. MCHamma. Obviously. Gas stations. Disneyworld. Spelling errors. Mysterious and elusive edit functions. Master G's all around failings as a full on computer dude. Circumcised cupcakes. Disneyworld. Did I say that yet?

There's more but who has the time, right? Gotta jet. The Redneck Waterslide Olympics are callin' my name.

I'll keep looking for that commercial and update later. Good luck. I think. Maybe not now.

I'm one of "those" people, too! We regularly watch the old Vacation videos. I think I still have the one when they were touting the Disney Institute.

I know the feeling about putting you in the mood for the Mouse too well. I started my master evil plan this morning. It took all of about 30 seconds to convince DH. We are going in March!!!!! Woohooty! :Pinkbounc

I've checked some more videos out there.

For old Disney Commercials.

For someone.

Thank me later.

Again.

Anywho... don't bother looking for it on The Land Before Time(s), Casper, Babe. And Nanny McPhee.

It's not on E.T.

Either.

Sorry.

No luck here.

This IS the Universal Website? Right?

Pongo ~ Happy Birthday!!!!!!

Master G ~ Hope your dentist appointment is going well.

ZZUB ~

Later, Mel. :moped:

P.S. I'm about to popcorn:: and check An American Tail.

For all of you.

And Briarmom, I would tell you to do what everybody else plans on doing and look for a Vote for Pedro tshirt but frankly, I'm starting to believe there may not even be a ZZUB. So I say enjoy your trip and don't waste your time. Because I think maybe he's just a figment of our imaginations. Much like the elusive Cinderella commercial.

Thanks LaLa. I will just take a picture of some random guy and say that I saw him. :thumbsup2
I can't even help look for commercials because all my stuff is moved.

And yes, poohnatic's avatar scares the bejeezus out of me. But she gave me the idea for the antenna toppers in my bud vase. So I overlook it.

Houston, We Have A Problem!

Reporting for duty, J.

I have checked.

WW – Season 1, Espisodes 1-8
The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams
Rudy (I checked this one 5 times)
Animal House

And.

On August 4th.

Just for you.

I’m PERSONALLY going to check out.

TALLADEGA NIGHTS
The Ballad of Ricky Bobby

Make sure the guy looks like Costanza and is eatin' a big ole fat cheesesteak at the time though just to make it realistic.

That's what I plan on doing anyway.

Meeeeeeeeeeeeelllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll. Glad to see you're finally contributing to our little search party we've got going on here. Besides posting some kick butt recipes. For strength.

Melly, don't forget to try The Goonies too. Could be on there. You never know. Besides, Chunk cracks me up. And they set booty traps in that one. That's always worth watching, right?

Z, go ahead and cross off Dinosaur, The Emperor's New Groove and Lady and the Britney II: K Fed's Adventure.

No luck for LaLa this weekend in the commercial hunt department.

But I did find a cool smilie. So it wasn't a total loss.

But I'll keep looking cause I'm still 2

No you're not.

Forget the 2003 Vacation DVD as well. That's as far as we got. Sorry. We watched Vacation DVD's all weekend long.

Zzub, I have not seen the sweet commercial you speak of but I DID find that episode of So NoTORIous that you wanted. You know, the one where her date wants her to dress up as Donna Martin, the virginal "Beverly Hills, 90210" character she played for 10 years. Just PM me and we'll work it out how to get it on over to you because I know you are anxious.

Hi ZZUB.

I spent all weekend looking for your commercial. Because I like you. And I think your trip reports are way cool. By the way, do you plan on wearing your Vote for Pedro tshirt this year on your trip? Because I'd like to say hi and maybe eat a turkey leg or two with you. Have you tried those ZZUB? They're really good. They taste like ham. You do like ham, right? I don't know why but you seem like the kind of guy who might like pork products. Anyway, it's nice and smoky. I really think you'd like it. It's much better than a bowl of soup.

So anywho, I watched a lot of movies this weekend. And these are the ones I checked.

Bambi
101 Dalmations
Spy Kids 1, 2, and 3D. And if you watch that 3D one, just remember you're not supposed to wear the glasses during the previews. I'm still seeing doubble. You would think Disney would warn you about that. Beforehand. You're an attorney right? Do you think I have a case?
Blues Clues Magenta Comes Over
Heidi
Honey We Shrunk The Kids...the sequel is never as good as the original by the way
Syriana
Brother Bear Sing a Longs
Aladdin
Win a Date with Tad Hamilton...twice...but just because I like that Josh Duhamel
and Mulan

Sorry I couldn't find your commercial. It's the one where the little boy is too excited to sleep, right? Oh well. I tried. I'll just have to keep looking. I'll let you know how it goes.

You have intrigued me. I am a problem solver by nature. So now I feel compelled to go out and solve your little problem with an obscure intentional effort by Disney to suck more of the precious money out of your wallet.

This may be a sickness Zzzub. You start the issue of the Battle for your Wallet. Now you are obsessively seeking (it is obsessive since you are drawing so many of us into your search) a COMMERCIAL. An intentional effort to control your wallet.

But since I am a problem solver, I will now join the hunt. Bluuuu-haloooo.

I'll start Thursday. or Friday.

ZZUB

Or whatever it is that you're going by these days...

J, Oz, Leftie, Z, ZZUBie,

Cross off Cinderella 2. And Spot Goes to the Farm.

Figments: Syriana? Everybody knows that's not Disney. Stop wasting ZZUB's time. Try Old School instead.

Hey Melly.

I'll keep looking for ya ZZUB.

Cause obviously M-A-S, T-E-R a G with a double E is too busy bickering about Bush to help at this point.

Just between me and you, I think his priorities are a little wiggety wiggety wacked.

:moped:

Your friend,

Lola

Just checking to see if you're still hearing Bono.

I'm beginning to think your commercial is an enigma. A mystery wrapped in a riddle. Like the watch guy.

I give up. Again.

I think. I've been looking since 8;32am, Zzub. My hand is cold and I have a headache.

Sorry. I wish I had better news for ya :sad2:
