Whenever I've gone to WDW they would have a channel on the TV in your room that had a running loop of old Disney cartoons(mickey, pluto, goofy, silly symphonies, etc...) until the last trip in 2010.

Do they still have that channel?

They still had this channel for all the rooms at the Contemporary and it was channel 96, however it wasn't available for the rooms at the Boardwalk Inn. So for whatever reason not all the resorts have it.

When we stayed At CR in August I fell asleep to that channel every night. :cloud9: But I understand it is only at certain resorts, so I'm going to miss it on my trip in May...oh well. :confused3

None of the Values have them. Also, i'm pretty sure AKL might have them, because they play them in Mara (the AKL food court) on the tvs there. If you're looking for those just youtube them, there is one channel that has tons of old Disney cartoons on them.

Actually, me and my family stayed at the movies in january.and they did have the cartoons. On channel 96, I believe. My little bro still talks about them today and calls them Car-Cars.

movies has them... the only value that does I believe. Guessing it fits with the "movies" theme. Big reason my kids love staying at Movies!
Poly we've also seen this channel 96 with cartoons also. Those are the only two resorts we've encountered them.
Pop, Sports, CBR, POFQ, BC... all a big no.

When we were at the BWI last July the room and CL lounge TVs did not have the cartoons but the TV in the 3rd floor laundry room did.

We've had bad luck with that channel and our resort choices. Loved it on our first trip, but I don't think we've had it for any trip since... not at BC, CBR or POP and I don't remember but I don't think at WL either.

I wonder if it comes in at the Fort Wilderness cabins?

Just returned from AllStar Movies and we DID have this channel. Cant remember what number, but we watched it every night!!

POR also doesn't have it. I was worried they got rid of it altogether....but I'll just have to plan our trip accordingly next time!!! What a relief!

I remember when I went in 2000, I watched The Mighty Ducks cartoon when we got back from the parks one day. Man, I wish they would put those cartoons on as well. I'd spend all day just watching Darkwing Duck, The Mighty Ducks, Bonkers, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, etc.

I can't wait to watch the classic cartoons if I get the chance too. :goodvibes I still have some vhs tapes with some of the episodes on there because we used to tape them. A lot of the ones I saw as a kid were one of the first episodes, like The Gallopin' Guacho, The Barn Dance, The Firefighters, and Plane Crazy

I wish CSR had that channel. We were there mid-Sept 2010. Checked every channel and couldn't find anything.

With the # of people who have kids, or those who get sick and end up staying in the room, you think Disney would make this available at ALL the resorts. :confused3

They play this channel (or something similar) inside The Writers Stop in DHS. It's always a nice place to stop for a quick snack & to cool off, and my kids LOVE to watch the old cartoons in there!

But if you did that, then you wouldn't need park tickets, or have to eat in any Disney restaurants, or be buying any Disney souvenirs. but you would be :happytv:

I have to say I found it odd that they ran TWO channels on the Disney cruise line of all the Disney movies. One started the movie on an odd numbered hour; the other on an even numbered hour.

It was round the clock. You figure you would want people out of the cabin.... but I guess not.
