Hello
We had a wonderful time staying for 10 days at OKW. There were 8 of us in a 2 bdrm villa and five of us were there for all 10 days. Two, stayed for a week and two were there for 5 days;one for the first 5 and the other for the 2nd five day stretch.
Mom (84) enjoyed Olivia's and said it was her favorite. We were concerned when we arrived when we were told the resort was filled to capacity and that there were only 2 villas available with 2 bdrms. Either building 23 or building 15. After much deliberation my sister and I decided on 23, which was on the second floor but neither my mother nor any one else seemed to mind, once they saw the inside and the view we had. It was a beautiful water view of a fountain, not far from the Hospitality House nor from two bus stops. It worked out great!
We found the CM's to be friendly and courteous and even though we are not members we even had a few "Welcome Home" greetings given to us. My youngest niece, who is14 exclaimed when she stepped inside,"I think I will just stay here all the time we are at WDW!" then she laughed and said she would want to go to the parks too.
Although it was far from the parks, it was relaxing and I too, would not mind spending the majority of my time here. Mom loved it and I am glad we made it our choice.
The busses did seem to be slower than those at AKL where my sister and I stayed last year. That would be my only complaint, if planning to eat at one of the parks or other resorts I would suggest giving oneself at least an hour to get there. We had a few times when we were late, but it did not seem to matter since we were still seated promptly. At Olivia's we did not need PS's and we ate breakfast, lunch and dinner there. So that was nice. Also with a kitchen we were able to have food in the room and could eat there if we wanted to.
When the time came to leave, I did not want to, but we needed to give others a chance to enjoy their home away from home too.
Thanks to all who gave us suggestions when planning our stay, it helped tremendously
