SO, here I am giddy with excitment that I got a GV at OKW at the 7 month window & my DH is putting a sour note on it b/c when we were there for a tour a few years back, the bus ride was extrememly long! Can any one suggest a villa location I should request to be the last or 2nd to last bust stop out of the resort? I don't think he cares as much on the ride home...
If there is anything else you want to point out that we should consider, let me know. It is the first time we are staying at OKW & the one couple has only been to WDW & its their 30th anniversary. Thanks, Debbie

If you got a GV at seven months, frankly I'd tell DH to get over it. With the splendor of an OKW GV, he won't even notice the bus ride.

Congratulations, and have a great trip!

Yeah, I dont think he gets what luck & what a gorgeous place we will be staying--I definitely will tell him!!:goodvibes Do you happen to know if the GV's have been refurbished or where I can find out? Deb

Since you probably did NOT get to book HH catagory, I'm going to say the best choice would be buildings 15, 16, 63 pr 19. We particularily like the GVs in 15. Since all of those buildings are in that half way point between Miller's Road and Hospitality House, you will be able to go to either bus stop. Miller's is second to the last and HH is the last bus stop before leaving for the parks. One of the things we like about building 15 is that we can check, and if we see a bus heading to the Miller's stop, we can walk up to HH and catch it easily. On top of that, you can get off at Peninsular Road (first stop on the way back into the resort), and be back to your villa faster too.

Hmmm, maybe I need to put in a request for one of those buildings for January when we are staying in a GV!

I'm trying for a GV this week (for 11 months out) and was wondering which one you liked the best, Diane. So I'll request Bldg 15, too. Thanks.

We stayed at HH in February and it is very easy to walk there from any of the surrounding buildings/areas. So you pick up the bus at HH and you'll leave right for the parks, no winding through the resort. THen you can get off just at the firs stop which is on on the other side of the bridge past HH and walk back to your resort, also avoiding the long winding trip around the resort.

We also did not enjoy the long bus ride from previous trips, but looking back, our kids were very young and we just NEEDED OFF THE BUS!! At this point, it wouldn't be that big of a deal anymore to us. But, there are ways around it.
