OKW Turtle Pond question

We generally do not make room requests except for "top floor", however, I keep hearing about OKW's Turtle Pond. If you normally request this area, why? We will be staying in OKW soon. This will be our first visit to this OKW and since it is spread out I though I might make a request. Knowing it is just a request, I will not be disappointed regardless of where we stay.

We stayed there after our cruise in October for the first time and...didn't love that area. It seemed spread out and far from everything to us. The smaller pool there was more crowded than I would have expected too. We like the area closer to HH so we can quickly walk over and also catch a bus or two there as well. I know others love Turtle Pond and request it every time, but it's just not our favorite.

We always request Turtle Pond. We feel that it's quiet, love the pool which has a snack area, and it seems that no matter which unit that we're in, the bus stop is close by. We also like being away from the bustle of the HH area. We don't feel that the walk up there is too far either - we walk it several times a day.

I haven't stayed at OKW in awhile but when I have, I always requested Turtle Pond, water view. Got some great views and it's a quiet area. I always have a rental car so distance to anything isn't an issue.

You are bound to get a golf course view - with or without water - on Turtle Pond. And the pool is a bit larger than the other neighborhood pools. Plus the Turtle Shack is open seasonally.
