I can't wait, but the weather may not cooperate. It is supposed to be 25-35 mph wind with gusts higher. That doesn't sound like flying weather :sad2: Have you ever had your trip delayed a day or two by weather? We have only 6 nights so I hope the weather report is delayed until after our flight. Of course it's sunny and no wind right now, 24hrs prior to our flight:guilty: Ahhhh, midwest weather!!

You won't have any trip delayed by those winds. I fly small planes and that wouldn't even stop me under normal circumstances. Blowing snow in those winds? Maybe depending on the visability. Just those winds? Probably not for me and definitely not for commercial flights.

You're making me feel better :goodvibes I know we are supposed to have lake effect. I'm hoping it'll be OK

That won't make any difference in flying other than it may be a bit bumpy on takeoff/landing.

Have a great trip!

Thanks! Now there is a winter storm warning for tomorrow into Monday :eek::eek: I'm crossing my fingers and toes :thumbsup2

Wind speed really has nothing to do with takeoff and landings. Its swirling and downdrafts which affect planes. So as long as its a normal straight wind you are fine.

Thanks everyone! We made it:cool1::banana:

Yay! Now I'll be interested to hear if you get a good night's sleep! Bed was horrible the last time we were in a one bedroom....please let me know what you think!

And enjoy your stay! I'm so glad you made it.
