OKW is definitely the secret at DVC (shhhh, don't tell anyone).

I stayed at VWL in a 2BR with 8 people in July. It was a wonderful room. Just got back though from OKW just my wife and I in a 1 BR. OMG!!! Just the sheer size of the room is enough but the views, decor, and tranquility... and I just did a 70 pt add on here. It truly was home. When my wife woke up Saturday morning, she said I would have to drag here away kicking and screaming... We're taking her mother there to see the lights in December and originally had a 1BR at BWV but since I "heard" you guys raving about the size of the room, I changed it a few weeks ago to get this bigger room for the 3 of us. After seeing it this past weekend, it was definitely the right thing to do. My only concern is there is no bathroom access without coming into the bedroom that the other resorts have. I'll suffer!!!

Just request a room in building 30 or higher. Those buildings all have 2 entrancese to the bathroom.

We were in building 18. We made this ressie in July on $$$ before we joined so I guess we wouldn't stay there on points. I definitely will request a 3rd floor though. My wife hates the noise of people above us. Guess I have to call and add 3rd floor AND building 30 or higher. We had a view of the golfers hitting the water at the 6th hole. The only other "problem" was some sort of blower or mower running at 7:00 Sunday and Monday morning out our window. It didn't go well with the Long Island Ice Teas from the Hard Rock or beer from Jellyrolls!

Some units are only two-stories high. You could request "top floor" and that would give MS more options.

I would not worry about having someone above you. I also hate having someone above me and have never heard a thing in any of the OKW units.We have always been on the ground floor, and are there during X mas, very quiet. Enjoy

Well I called and told 'em I wanted a top floor in building 30 or higher, non smoking. How assured are you to get your request like that? I've seen people here write about requesting certain rooms or buildings but don't know how far out or how often they get them. I would be getting there before check in if that matters.

Glad you liked OKW!! We love it too!! The second bathroom entrance in buildings 30 and higher is definitely an advantage when you have guests along with you. Have a wonderful time!!

Note: Isolated incident.It happened to us this summer in 64 We were on the ground floor and there was constant jumping and banging that didn't let up.They moved us to the 3rd floor.It so happened it was 2 teens practicing their dance routine.They were having a competition at CSR that week.
