OKW refurb??

It has been a while since we stayed at OKW, and the last visit was very disappointing. I was told that OKW has undergone a complete refurb but I can't find any pics of a studio. Has anyone stayed in a studio since the refurb? Also where is the best area to request? It would be nice to be near the boats to DTD and near the main pool. Also, does OKW studio rooms still have 2 queen beds or did they change over to the pullout bed? THANKS!!

OKW still has 2 queens in the studios. Really, what do you expect to change during a rehab? Studios go new beige carpet & new drapes, repainted chairs and table, beds are now platform and not freestanding, countertop changed to granite, walls were repainted to blue. Bathroom is the same as always.

One beds got recovered sofa & couch, fake wood floors in the living area, granite countertops, addition of a sleeper chair, repainted table and chairs, ugly repainted coffee table, new carpet in master bedroom. Bathroom/laundry room the same as always.

that is called the "hospitality house" area and it is either confirmed on your reservation or not. it is no longer a request.

Thanks for the reply. Really overall the layout was fine with me but the counters, wallpaper/paint decor ect really looking dated. The main gripe I had was the TV. I know it sounds terrible but the old tube TV's gave me a horrible headache to watch since we have become accostomed to a high def tv. It bothered the kids too so when you add a cranky mom with cranky kids..doesn't really make for a fun time on vacation. It seemed to me that OKW rooms were larger than the other resorts but I could be wrong. Again thanks for the reply and input.

OKW rooms are much larger than their counterparts in the other DVC resorts.
