OKW Quiet Room

Somewhere, once upon a time and I believe it was on the DIS, I found a place where there was a discussion or list about room preferences at OKW. For example there were building lists that discussed which buildings/rooms were quiet (no bus noise), or close to a bus stop, the golf sprinklers go off at 6am , etc.

Can anyone tell me where I can find that. Leaving for OWK 2BR in 29 days!

ddave, I don't have the answer for you right now, I am sure somebody on this forum will, but just wanted to let you know we are leaving for OKW also on 2-15 and staying 6 nites in a 2BR also.

These are not totally reliable, but might give you some ideas on what to request.

If you want to avoid bus noise altogether, you could get one of the rooms in the loop at Old Turtle Pond. The buses don't run near these buildings....of course, that means a walk to the bus stop.

I'm a light sleeper, too, and I figured out a couple of things that help. Being on the second or third floor helps with sprinkler noise, flushing noises, etc. We have stayed in the newer buildings, 62 and 64, and the buses pass by there frequently. If you shut the bathroom doors, and the laundry doors, it's very quiet in the bedroom. Keeps it dark, too. Diana
