OKW Questions for our 1st trip home..

Our first trip Home is in 3 weeks! I have had most of my questions answered on this board but I have 2 left!
1) We are flying in and then taking a towncar which will stop at a grocery store--Will OKW store our groceries including things that need to be refrigerated if our room is not ready when we arrive?
I did this at POFQ and they did
2)How much is the pool construction taking away from the atmosphere--Should we be sure to ask for a room away from the main pool?
This is our first trip home and I want to convince DH it was worth it--OKW seems perfect for him since he is a real parrot head--I am just hoping the construction doesn't take away from the atmosphere. Thanks to all!

Yes they will store perishables. I would have the store pack the perishables in their own bag(s) and also seperate frozen items in their own bag(s). OKW, and all the DVC resorts have refrigated/frozen storage.

If you plan to be in your room a lot, I would ask for a room near one of the other pools, just in case the work is a little loud in the day time. But the main pool area is where the store, video 'rental', the Bar, Olivia's, and the boat to DTD are all located.
