Day 3 starts bright and early again, with M1 up and out the door around 6am...after making as much noise as he possibly could. A and I are amazed he's even able to get up, considering he had a VERY rough night. We start to stir, I make coffee, we throw open the balcony door and it's another beautiful day! We're excited to be going to the MK today; I never feel like I'm really at Disney until I hit this park!
We start to get ready when I discover I can't find my toothbrush. I search and finally find it, sitting in a pool of used toothpaste and goodness knows what else, next to M1's toiletries. HE USED MY TOOTHBRUSH!! I sigh, turn to A and say, "I'm headed to the General Store; I need a new toothbrush". I take off and actually enjoy my walk (which is fairly long, as we're in South Pointe). I get to the store, buy my toothbrush and head back. By the time I get there, my parents are up and M1 is back. He and A are fighting for sink time and I decide to say something to him. I tell him the next time he gets ripped, he needs to use his own toothbrush and NOT MINE! He swears he didn't until I show him the condition of mine and then he pauses. He tries to tell me it's MY fault, because our toothbrushes look so similar. Mine is a fluorescent pink Colgate brand, his is a navy blue Oral B. They look NOTHING alike. I decide to give up the fight, use my new bright orange toothbrush and A and I are soon on our way to the MK, M1 in tow.
At the gates, M1 decides that his ear hurts from too much swimming and he wants to go back to the room to rest. We bid him goodbye and head into MK. I had already hidden all the booze after the night before, so I was fairly confident all would be okay. I had forgotten that there are poolside bars!!
Once in the MK, A and I browse Main Street and take some pics. A is very keen on capturing the entrances of all the parks on film, as apparently she has a masterplan for her scrapbook. We take some pics of the castle and Main Street and head for Pirates! Pirates ROCKS, of course, and there is no wait at all. We literally did not stop walking once from the entrance to the boat. After Pirates we head to the Plaza restaurant, where we are scheduled to meet my parents. We make a brief stop to get some pics with characters (A and I are obsessed with character pics, as you will see as the week progresses) and then sit down to eat. This is one of my favorite restaurants; the sandwiches are HUGE and I love the decor. A and I both order the club and then afterwards realize we should have shared it. My parents just got ice cream, as the tradition is for Mom to order a banana split, not finish it, and give it to Dad to polish off. Dad never orders anything at the Plaza because he knows there will be more than enough leftovers!
After lunch, everyone goes to Tomorrowland and rides everything. Well, I and A and Dad do. Mom doesn't do rides, as she gets very motion sick. We take on AstroOrbiter and SpaceMountain, where Mom plays claw games while waiting for us and has to ask the cast member for a bag to put all her winnings in! We then go to the TTA, which we persist in calling the WEDWay, which is Mom's favorite thing. We go around twice and then part ways with Mom and Dad as they are headed to Epcot.
A and I wind our way around the park, mostly shopping and people watching. We ride IASM and the teacups, and eat more ice cream. Before we know it, the sun is setting! We had yet to hit the Haunted Mansion, so with dusk falling we head over there. There is no wait time, and we head right in. The cast member working the stretching room is very funny. As soon as the doors open, I am the first person out and heading to a doombuggy with A close behind. As we walk down the queue area, one of the loading cast members is walking in one place on the moving platform, staring at me very creepily. I appreciate how good he is in character, and think nothing more about it. As I pass directly by him, right on the other side of the dividing wall, he jumps and slams his hand down on the railing. I shriek at the top of my lungs and A about dies with laughter. She said she had seen it coming the whole time but I was oblivious. He got me good!! We laughed the whole rest of the ride!
We had considered going to Epcot to finish the day, but by now it's almost 7pm and time for Wishes. A and I hop on Peter Pan, no wait (my Dad and I used to love this ride, but it's in desperate need of an overhaul), and when we come out Wishes is just starting. We didn't have the best viewing area as they were pretty much directly above us, but they were still very impressive. We head out of the park with the throng and got on the first bus to OKW. We get back to the room about 9pm and grab some snacks. M1 is only drinking beer, and seems repentant about his lapse the day before. He says his ear is better and he definitely wants to do Epcot the next day. I am wondering when he's planning to golf, which was the whole reason he made the trip. Mom and Dad return shortly from Epcot, where they have been drinking their way around the world, and quickly say goodnight. The rest of us hang out a little but crash pretty quickly. Tomorrow is Epcot and the Food and Wine Fest, where things really start to get interesting!
