OKW Information Needed

Can the refillable mug purchased at OKW be used in any other resort or just at OKW?

Even though the mug design is now generic (used to have each individual hotel printed on them), you are supposed to use them only at the resort where you purchased.

I don't like disney water either. Bottled water is definately the way to go. We drink Pepsi products, so we stock up before we get to WDW. The goods to go is not real convenient to most rooms, I think the better value would be to keep your own beverages in your room refrigerator.

I feel it's just as convenient as some of the other resorts' food courts are. I've had stays at POP, CBR, POR where I had a walk. OKW has at least 50% of it's room within a 7-8 min walk or shorter to Goods. I'll admit, there are some buildings that are more like 15+ min walk. And if you're by the pool, the refillable mugs are nice to have.

I didn't mean for it to sound as if I wanted to use the refillable mug in other places if that's not allowed, I really just don't know what the expected use of the mug s are. Trying to decide if they would be worth getting or not.

I really enjoy Key West. Very easy, laid-back atmosphere. We had a 1-bed and I loved the colors. We had not requested a water view, but did have a large pond near the room that we could see when sitting on the patio.

I liked Olivia's well enough, but actually would rather get a tuna sandwich or a burger at Good's to Go and sit on the patio, by the water. At night, they played island music on that patio (not the God of island music himself, if you happen to be a parrothead, but it was great all the same.)

The only thing I didn't like was getting stuck behind the towel carts while driving through the resort.

I wouldn't get a refillable mug. If you aren't close (and even if you are), you probably won't feel like heading over there every time you want a few more ounces of pop. You CAN use them in any resort now. So, if you'll be switching to the Poly or visiting the AKL, you could fill on up.

I prefer hotels and the whole hotel thing, so I don't stay there a whole bunch, but highly recommend OKW!

After much research and investigating we have decided to stay off site at Windsor Hills Resort in a 3 bedroom condo. I tried very hard to stay on site but I just couldn't see 4 adults cramped into a studio room onsite for 8 days for much more of a cost than staying 2 miles away from Disney in a 3 bedroom condo. Has anyone stayed at the Windsor Hills Resort?? Can you give me encouragement that we made the right decision?
