We are still waiting to close on our resale - should be only another week or so! We are planning on going to WDW for DD's 5th birthday on April 2nd and for a few days before. We are well within the 11 month window for our home resort, but I was thinking an OKW 1 BR would be a good family introduction to DVC. Should that be hard to get at the 7-month window, or is there a fair chance for that to come through so we can experience something other than our home resort at BCV? We are also going in December 2004, and I'm thinking using the 11-month window for BCV will be the best bet for that timeframe, since it is so popular. (On another note, I'm so excited! I can't believe I snookered DH into giving it a shot!)

Well, an early congratulations and welcome home :)

Normal conditions: Presidents' Day through end of April are quite busy at WDW because of spring breaks. Easter week is extremely busy.

Recently crowds have been smaller than normal because of the events of the past three years. OKW is a very large resort, so it will likely give you the best shot at a reservation at 7 month window.

You can always make a reservation at your home resort as soon as your deed is recorded and then try to change or wait list at the seven month window for another resort.

Enjoy your first trip home!
