I really miss Richyams! :sad1:

Can anyone tell me about the showers on the first floor of the Grand Villa? I know there is a whirlpool tub- is that also a shower, or is there a seperate shower in that bathroom?

Also I know there is another bathroom on the first floor, is that just a half bath or a full bath? My cousin will be sleeping on the pull out sofa and I'm wondering if he'll have a shower, or if he'll have to use one in one of the other rooms when they are free.

Thanks for the info.

The master bathroom on the GV is very much like the master bath in a 1&2 bedroom. The bedroom is larger, as is the bathroom. There is a large Jacuzzi and pedistal sinks and a seperate room for the shower and toilet. There is also a 3/4 bath with a huge walk in shower in the hall for those guests who might be staying in the living room.

There is a separate shower in the master bath, that jacuzzi tub is too big to have a shower in it! ;)

And, yes, there is a separate bathroom with a full shower on the first floor. Hope this helps!

Here is a partial view of the shower in the hall bath.

Thanks Diane-

I'm sure Rich is up there smiling down at what a GREAT job you are doing on this board, keeping up with the OKW info!

You were a great help with my last question too!

And thanks to you too PollyAnn! :flower:

You will love the OKW GV! I'd be staying in them every trip if I had enough folks going and enough points! I actually considered it for 5 of us over New Years, but I didn't have enough points left. Our last GV stay last October left me a bit short on points!

I'm actually using 3 years worth of points for this trip. One Grand Villa and three studios for the week beginning Columbus Day Weekend.

There will be 7 adults and 4 children in the Grand Villa and then two sets of grandparents in two of the studios and my single cousin and his current galpal in the other studio. I cannot wait!!!! I've been planning for this trip since the day I signed my DVC contract!

We just moved to Cocoa from MA this year because I told DH last year - We have to move to Florida for a few years because I'm going to be out of DVC points after this trip, and he believed me! ;)

That sounds like a great trip! Actually the first time we reserved a GV, we did a 150 point add-on! Yep, DVC can be addictive!

Yeah, after we moved to Cocoa DH once asked the question "Hey how about dumping some of those DVC points now that we live so close"

I said "Honey, I'll dump YOU first, and I'm not about to do that either!"
(makes me so glad it's only in MY name!)

From Diane's reply:

>There is a large Jacuzzi and pedistal sinks and a separate room for the shower and toilet.

We just returned from our first stay in a GV (1622 -- great location, with a balcony overlooking LBV's 6th-hole green).

Just a minor correction which is definitely true for our GV, though it may not be for all -- only the toilet is separate in the MB. The shower is opposite the 2nd sink and is not in a separate room.

Yes, I guess technically that is correct. The door to the shower is right next to the little toilet alcove, so It always seems to me like it is with the toilet room. I actually like the master bath of the 1 & 2 bedroom villas a bit better than the GV because I like having the counter space in the toilet/shower room of those units as opposed to the pedestal sinks and shelves in the GV.

If I had one complaint about the GV at OKW - that would be it.

We were just in one in May - and I had forgottten about the different configuration. I don't like having the shower out in the dressing area...

hi all..
there are 23 gv i was told by my dearly missed brother richyams(mr.okw)
that was a couple of years ago that he told me that :goodvibes
i could be wrong
lori :confused3

Master bath has a shower stall and a separate whirlpool tub.

There is a second bath on the hallway that has a shower stall, toilet & sink.

Each upstairs bedroom has a full bath with a regular tub/shower combo, toilet, & sink.
