I will be going to OKW for my first stay at Disney Sept 24-30. I have many questions - Are the buses a pain to get to the parks? Do I need a car? Can I buy groceries at the hospitality house? Are there workout facilities? I have a 4 yr old, what activities are for him?

I'm sure others have questions and many of you veteran DISers, I'm sure have many answers and view points to share.

Thanks, Brian

The buses at OKW are great and there are enough bus stops so you will not have far to one no matter where you stay. The good thing about the buses is that they deliver you directly to the gate of the parks, so no parking lots to travers. You will not need a car, but you will find groceries expensive and sparse at the resort store at Hospitality House. For that reason, you might want to use a town car to go from the airport to OKW so you can stop for groceries on the way.

There are workout facilities in the HH building. There are also lots of activities for little ones. They change occationally, and it has been a long time since we had little ones with us, so someone else will have to give you details on that. There is, however a new pool slide that has been getting rave reviews and there are 4 pools at OKW. Each of them has a play area as well.

What size unit are you staying in? If you will be in a 1 bedroom or larger, you will have a nice Jacuzzi in the master bath as well as a seperate shower and two sinks. There will also be a full laundry room next to the bathroom and a large living room and full kitchen. If you are in a studio, you will not have the Jacuzzi, laundry room, living room, or kitchen, but the bathroom is still quite large, and you will have two queen size beds as well as a table and chairs and a kitchenette. There are free laundry facilities at each of the 4 pools for folks staying in the studios.

I'm sure you have plenty more questions, so ask away!

We are staying in a 2 bedroom villa as we will have 4 adults and 3 kids on this trip. Its good to know that we will have a washer and dryer in the room. The jacuzzi also sounds great for evening after a long day in the park chasing kids.

You will REALLY love the 2 bedroom villa! The balcony is quite large also and has a table and 4 chairs at it for extra dining space. There is also a nice ceiling fan out there.

You might want to capitalize the "q" in your thread title (not that there's anything wrong with that).

I would poke you for being a smartbutt - but I thought the same thing when I first glanced down the thread titles.
