I read all of the negative stuff here, and trust me I'm not flaming anyone, it just seems like I must be literally blind to have missed all of the horrible things that are happening to WDW and my home resort, OKW of which I have also been a member for 12+ yrs. now. I also just returned from a trip home to OKW as well as BCV from 12/1-12/17 and I can only concur on finding a decline in the food services and more particularly at Oliva's and Good's to Go. Otherwise we found our stay be very excellent. We were in a bldg.
(#14) that I was not thrilled about when I was at the desk signing in bec. of the traffic noise but I figured hey, lets give it a try. Aside from the noise when out on the deck we had a great stay. The room was the same as always, yes, some things do change, i.e. the non-mickey toilet paper, etc..., but for us all small stuff. The CM's I dealt with at the front desk over ticket prob's were great, the pool staff interacting with my children great, the CM's in community hall with both my children and me, great. Again, I really don't know what the individual prob's you are all having with the units, but had I had flooding, etc. I would have had them fix it immediately and I have had them do that in the past and then moved on and not let it ruin my trip. As I said before, I really must be blind as my old OKW seems to be aging yes, but I think aging fairly well. Sorry if it seems like I wear rose colored glasses, but it sure makes my vacations good times for me and my family.
You truly must be blind or simply don't care if you haven't noticed the slip in DVC and park cleanliness. Combine that with the decline, you even noticed through the rose colored glasses, in dining and there is reason for concern.
I'm glad you enjoyed all of your trips , really. I've enjoyed mine as well, doesn't mean I don't see problems. Just don't sit there and act like all is well at WDW, it is not.
