We're staying at OKW in building 15. We usually have a car, but are relying on the busses this time. Party of 8. For all you experienced bus riders, any tips or strategies for what bus stops we should use coming and going? Anything else we should know?

Thanks.

I think Miller's Road is your closest stop.

You're about halfway between Hospitality House and Miller Road. You may have a better chance of getting a seat at MR over HH.

ITA - HH is a horrid place to catch a bus.

One of the things we like about building 15 is the chance to choose between MR or HH. If we happen to come out just as the bus is coming past the building, we KNOW we can't get to MR in time, so we just go to HH, and get on there. BTW, I agree that being at HH is overrated for the bus. It's always pretty crowded by the time it gets there in the morning.

The last time we were there the transportation was much improved over previous visits in regards to wait times, etc. It's the old adage of 6 of one, half dozen of the other. What time of day do you plan on going to the parks? Are you doing early entry or late night? Will you be park hopping? The number of buses for a particular park and how often they come by is influenced by early entry/late night. MK is the most popular park so its not unusual to see three MK buses in a row show up on an MK early entry morning as your waiting. I guess the short answer for advice is "It depends." As a side note, as frustrating as a wait for the bus may seem it more than makes up for the wait when the bus drives right into the dedicated bus lane and you see the cars at a stand still waiting to get into the parking lot.

at OKW this coming june.in a 2 br at the HH.kind of interested in the bussing as well.not used to staying somewhere new, heard all the complaints about ssr but (knock on wood) we have never had a problem.we are used to pop buses and bus lines.dont get me wrong they do a great job busing the values but the lines get long and the buses are always crowded.they cant be worst than that.

That is, IF it even gets there. We've stayed in Turtle Pond area a couple times where the bus was full up by there or Miller Road and so the bus bypassed HH and went directly to the park. BTW, I love Building 15, beautiful views and good location.

Interesting, In all the times I've stayed at OKW, I've never observed that scenario.

I've seen that happen occasionally. Usually there is another empty bus along within about 5 minutes, but there had been a long wait for the first bus. So i'm thinking first bus was delayed, and the second bus on the route "caught up" to the first bus.

I haven't seen it very often though.
