I want to request the area that is close to the HH without the booking category. I never pay attention to where we really stay when staying there. I know we have been in the HH booking area. We have been in the area that is close enough to walk to the HH and it is the last stop before HH. I know we have gotten off at the first stop and walked to the HH when coming back from the parks. IS that Peninsular? My dd and I will be there for 3 nights in April and I would like to request one of the areas so we can walk to the HH and not have to take the bus all the way around. THANKS.

We are renting points for a stay at OKW and want to be close to the main pool. When I asked the owner to put in a room request, I was told we can phrase the request as "close to main pool" since HH is a different booking category. If Miller's Rd is close (based on what I have read), is it better to just request that? Or is there another area that would be just as close and not requesting a specific area would allow them to assign a better location? TIA.

The one time we stayed at OKW we were in Bldg. #22 in Miller's Road - you do NOT want to be that far away. It's the last (furthest) building and was a miserable walk to HH (it was August so it was HOT). Also it was the furthest to the sectional bus stop. I would have to say it depends on WHERE you're located in Miller's Rd. as to the easy walk or not. JM2C. :)

We were on Millers Road last week and if we saw the bus heading to the Millers Road bus stop and we knew we wouldn't make it, we'd head to the HH bus stop instead. We did have to hurry, but we made it every time. Walking around OKW is very enjoyable.

I picked Peninsular Road for the request. We shall see what happens. It really doesn't matter that much since we are ONLY there 3 days.

I stayed in Millers Rd last October and I think the walk was shorter then when I stayed Near HH in building 11

There are many maps of OKW on line with building numbers and road names. I would suggest consulting one of those as well to get a lay of the land.

The farthest walk from Miller's Road is a bit less than a half mile.

Edited to add: remember that all* of the villas in the Miller's Road/Peninsular area do *not* have the door from the laundry room to the master bath. That might be important depending on party size/composition.

*: Well, a handful do, but I would not expect to be assigned to one.

That's exactly the walk we had when we stayed there the last time - we were in that last building...and 1/2 mile can feel like a pretty long way if you've already walked 9 miles in the parks that day. That's a mile round trip if you're walking up to the pool or to eat and back...and in the summer when it's 90+ degrees out.:scared: Not exactly a pleasant walk IMO.

We stayed in Millers Rd twice, once around the corner, close to the road intersection just outside OKW, another time in the bldgs with elevators a bit closer to HH(numbered in the 60s). Both were within reasonable walking distance. Penisular isnt that far either
