I've been reading threads for days and haven't seen it, but please forgive me if this information is listed somewhere and I have missed it.

We are staying at OKW for the first time in a 2 br villa. I read somewhere that there might be a possibility of a view of fireworks at one of the parks from an upper-level room? I've looked at the map, but can't tell which buildings might provide that view.

We have two young children and would like for them to see some fireworks from the room at bedtime if possible. Any help would be appreciated!:goodvibes

I do recall some posts of a few locations where some of Epcot's high fireworks can be seen from buildings parallel to Bonnet Creek Pkway - I think buildings at OKW are maximum of 3 floors so even the best location may still be partially obstructed by trees.

:)

We could see the highest fireworks at Epcot from our third floor villa in building 18.

Thank you! I'm going to make our request. Here's hoping for some pixie dust!

We can hear them but we have never seen them while staying there.

Not much of a view of fireworks at OKW. I have seen some of the fireworks at the start of the marathon from OKW, but those are closer to OKW.

We stayed in building 12, 2nd floor, & saw the higher Illuminations fireworks from the front door landing.

Building 25 3rd floor, a pretty good view of the higher fireworks, but you have to stand at the window.

Thank you! I'm making a list of the buildings and I'm just going to request the top floor at any of them. Hopefully it will work!

You would have better luck watching the lightning bugs, in all the years (since 1995) of staying at OKW we have only caught slight glimpses of any fireworks so dont get your hopes up or set yourself up for a major disappointment.

You will hear them and can see some of the higher ones. There was a list somewhere a while ago. I would however not request a building based on seeing illuminations... at best you will get a headache and a glimpse of a few higher ones.....
Better off with a view of one of the lakes with a fountain and some left over noise makers from new years.. so you can enjoy the view in the morning as well.

IMO, the view of the fireworks at OKW is not worth requesting a specific building. You will see very few of them and the view you do have will most likely be partially obstructed. In addition, most of the rooms that will offer the view are closer to the main roads which, IMO, are not the best.

Illuminations in general is not a good show from a distance - even the best fireworks views at the Boardwalk don't see the whole show, which is mostly low to the water. The timing of Illuminations is that there is a lot close to the water, then some fireworks high up - but none that have the Wishes height - then a lot of show close to the water, then you see another few bursts above the trees or buildings, then a lot of show close to the water.....

Its a treat to glimpse fireworks if you can see them and are already in your room. But if you want to see Illuminations, head into the park.

I totally agree! Besides that, most of the buildings whose high floors have some fireworks view are in the HH booking catagory, so if you aren't booked in Hosp. House catagory, you wont see much.

When DTD had nightly fireworks, we could often see those from quite a few OKW locations.

I believe that we saw fireworks from all three parks the time that we stayed on the top floor of either building 47 or 48.
