OKW, AKV and SSR

hi everyone,

our trip is coming up in a month we have booked 4 studios among DH's entire family (with their own families) spread out over OKW, AKV and SSR. my question is which location in each resort do you think we should request at check in?

thanks so much for any insight. this is our first time staying at these resorts...

Hi and I hope you have a great family trip! OKW, we like to be near HH though this has b/c a separate booking cat. Others like the quiet being further back especially if they have a car. I guess it's different strokes for different folks.
AKV, sorry no clue. SSR again I like to be near the main pool and HH. I don't like to come home and feel like I'm away from everything. Hope it helps a little, saw your post and felt you needed some sort of reply.

For SSR I'd request either The Springs or the Grandstand if you like being near the HH and pool. Anything else will put you away in a nice quiet area.
We'll be there Thanksgiving week.

For OKW I'd request buildings 11-14 if you want to be next to the HH and pool. Anything else will put you away in nice quiet areas. You can hop any of the buses to get to the HH because the HH is the last stop before it leaves the resort.

We own in AKV but haven't stayed there yet.

The pool at OKW is much better with a bigger slide. It is scheduled to be shutdown for referb soon.

Keep in mind that request were supposed to be made at the time you made your reservation. You can call now and add them, but you'll get priority behind the people who already made requests.

If you didn't book a room specifically in the category of near the hospital house at OKW, you will not be located in a room hear the hospital house. We prefer not being hear HH ourselves....there are so many wonderful areas at OKW...we often request a specific view, i.e. golf course or water and maybe 1st (easier access) or 2nd floor (in my opinion, better views), but then we leave much up to chance...most of OKW is really wonderful. I hope that helps. Keep in mind that the studios at OKW are at the ends of all the buildings, and they are tucked further back--most of the studios I seem to see have lesser views and are tucked in foliage, so if view is important, you may request 'best view possible' or something. If transportation is important, request near a bus stop.

AKV--we stayed there once--had no specific requests and were located in a nice savannah room. It was pretty far down the hallway from the main lodge, but we were pretty happy with it.

Haven't stayed at SSR.
