Just saw a resale listing for a 230 point OKW 2057 contract.

$89 per point. Owner compares price per point per year of contract with OKW 2042 in order to illustrate reason for higher price vs. OKW 2042 resales.

I'll not post the site this is on as it is not the sponsor's site.

Makes you wonder what they were thinking when they extended or bought, huh?

Same owner has two rental listings on the same site - BWV & BCV if I remember correctly.

The listing didn't mention how many points were currently available. Maybe he bought in years ago, so he had a low basis, extended for the 15 and used up all of the available points - now sells it stripped, extolling the virtues of the 2057 vs. the 2042 and maybe at a profit at $89?:confused3

Wonder if it will pass ROFR?

You think they are going to find a buyer at $89/point? Maybe they will - who knows, there's always somebody out there willing to pay. But with 2042 OKW contracts available at $72/point or 2054 SSR at $79/point, it's going to be a rare buyer who really, really wants extended OKW points (and isn't willing to get them from Disney).

I think $89 a point for an extended contract is very low.

Agreed.

I see this appealing to that new buyer that wants the cheapest 2057 contract they can get, with no major preference for what resort they own - AKV & OKW 2057 from DVC are both higher than $89 per point as is AKV resale. This one then becomes their best option - provided they're looking for 230 points and not less.

I've got to believe AKV from Disney is a better deal. AKV is $96/point from Disney. With developer points that are worth at least $8/point. With no maintenance fees for 2008 or 4-5 months of 2009 (worst at least $6/point). With closing costs saving of at least $400.

Meanwhile, SSR is going for $10/point less. Unless somebody really, really cares about 2055, 2056 and 2057, it's hard to believe those 3 years are worth $10/point.

If I knew that contract would pass ROFR and the timing was right, I would buy it. Its actually perfect for my situation, and close the the number of points I want for my final add on. Shame that its all in one contract though. What is the UY?

It's an April UY.

I sent you a PM on where to find it if you're interested.

Best of Luck.
