Oktoberfest for Hukuna Matata!!!

Hi Margie, I just got in from a nice 5 miles in the wee hours around the boardwalk and up to the Studios.

Erica got 13 hours of sleep so she is feeling much better today. We are off to the market.

Have an awesome day everyone.

Guess it wasn’t just me who got a good nights sleep. Went to bed around 10:30 and Mark had to wake me at 6 this morning. That almost never happens. As of 4:30 today I’m on vacation until November 3rd!

Miranda and I are planning on 5or6 miles tomorrow morning – good thing cause it’ll be a weekend of “bad” food. A bite here and there but still not great for the waistline.

Have a great day all, it’s cold and raining here today with snow north of us. Nothing is sticking to the ground but – still……..

Cold and Windy this morn , so I whimped out, Winds were really strong 30 MPH and predicted to be 40MPH later. Such is Cheyenne in the winter, Oh well time for the dreadmill.

Presentation to a group of educators this morn, pretty much ready to travel got a few last mon things to get together, Hey Lynn f ya read this put my Ipod on the charger, Thanks.

Ready for WDW

Good Morning Team!

Scott - your IPOD is on the charger:lmao:

Cold and windy here today - temp 30 degrees, wind chill 3 degrees! I will get the dogs out for a walk, but it will probably be a short one! At least the sun is out most of the time! We did not get any snow, but I think the mountains did.

We are nearly ready to go, still have a few things to pack, a house to clean, trees to water, laundry to do - the "moving in" project will be on hold until we get back, I think.

Still dealing with sore knees, although they do not bother me too much when walking, just all the rest of the time - and lately my hip has started to hurt - that does hurt more when walking! I do not know what precipitated it - no fall or injury - just hurts. I feel really old :rotfl:

Time to go - have a great day everyone!

My hip was hurting too - best way to help mine

1) Lunges
2) new sneakers
3) a good massage

All a pretty good idea - have one at the Dolphin while your there - you deserve it!

Good Morning Team!

Pretty slow here today! Guess everyone is too busy at WDW to post!

Thanks Denise - I was thinking about shoes, so I calculated my milage, I am wearing 2 different pair of shoes, each have just over 100 miles on them, so they should not be breaking down yet. I may try the lunges, see if my knees accept them. I would love a massage, maybe after the race, I can talk Scott into a massage for his birthday - then I will have to get one also, of course!

Connie - will be posting totals here as soon as I finish this post!

Yesterday was REALLY COLD! The wind was fierce and I have forgotten how to walk in the wind, I kept losing my balance! Today should be a little better, hope to get a good walk in with the dogs before I take them to "puppy camp" ie the kennel. I am just waiting for it to warm up a little bit before going out!

Have a great week! I will catch up when I get back from WDW.

Good morning team! It seems pretty quiet here now that everyone has gone to ToT. I went out for a quick 3 miler last night. It was chilly, something I have to start getting use to. I managed to run the whole way without stopping - not sure if it was because it was cold or if I've actually worked up to it but I was happy. I finished in 31:30!

I'm hoping to run continuously in January but I'm not sure if that will mean a faster time since there were two sets of pace bunnies at the 1/2 in September for each time (ie. 2:30 continuous and 2:30 walk/run).

Denise - I agree with you about the massages - except I think they're good for everything! I'll use any excuse to go for one :) How's the wedding stuff coming along? Is it this weekend?

Lynn - Do you have someone in your area that practices A.R.T. (active release therapy)? I've found that it works wonders for my knee/hip pain. My PT also suggests I use a foam roller but I don't like it that much. When I can't get into see my chiro or PT for ART, I use the stick, a knee brace and ice.

Eva - Congrats on the new car! I never have enough time in the day either but I have to practice that stupid plank/pushup. My PT says he eventually wants me to get through 15 on each side. As for shoes ... I recently picked up the Kayanos 14. I haven't tried them out on the TM yet. I'll let you know what I think - but I've been thinking about trying out another type of shoe as well.

Good luck to all the ToTer's I hope you weather's nice!

Today was my last scheduled run before my 5k on Sunday (although I may sneak a short run or walk tomorrow). I did 2.75 miles at a 7:55 pace. My goals for saturday are satisfied with a 26 something; expect a 24:30-25:30; would LOVE a sub 24.

Best,
Jennifer

:wave2: Hi Team!

pixiedust: Connie ... Oops, I will be PMing our miles time as soon as I send this post. I had a time figuring out my hours.

Jennifer you go girl, you are doing great.

Lynn and I made it to Denver.

We have plans for after work core workouts when we get back, I will be getting us after the weight training and some additional cardio. So we will be doing two a days, "PT Good For ME"

Hi everyone!

We are busy at home with family and final preparations for Saturday.

Wedding is scheduled for 5pm at a lake and now their predicting rain! Blah!

I am sitting this morning having coffee using my new eee/pc trying to easing into the day.

Miranda and I did 4 miles yesterday and my heart was not in it but, for a bit we had some fresh air and exercise so it was a good start for a busy day.

well my battery is low so I'll sign off

Denise, I hope ya have good weather,

we are off t supervise the Panda, wish us luck.

Good morning to all those with us and those who have gone on to a better World (Disney World, that is!) :rotfl:

Denise - The wedding will be beautiful and rain is good luck. DH and I were married in the rain.

Good luck, Jennifer!

Hi, Vicki. It is quiet!

I went to the Doctor for my 6 week post-op check-up, yesterday. He is an interesting person and very hard to read. I don't know If I will EVER be over this shoulder thing!!!!! I have to do my current Physical therapy exercises at home for the next MONTH!!! A MONTH more of passive exercise to rehab my shoulder!!! A whole month, 4 more weeks! :sad1:

At least, I get to do them at home, and can now begin an exercise program to incorporate them.

Make a great day, everyone!

Happy Friday everyone! I'm wishing I was in WDW with everyone else doing the ToT this weekend. It's really chilly this morning! I realized last night that we're 12 weeks to the 1/2 in January. Yikes! That puts me one week behind my training schedule. But in looking at my schedule I realized that I have a bunch of 10+ milers every weekend in December. Here's hoping it doesn't snow until January because as much as I hate the cold weather, I hate the TM even more :)

Connie - It probably won't help much but I'm sure the 4 weeks will fly by. When I injured my hip/butt back in March, my PT gave me a list of rehab exercises to do - hourly! I thought that was crazy but I did them anyway (managed to sneak them in at work). Anyway, fast forward 5 weeks later and he had me back up and running for the Minnie 15K. So the exercises do work :)

Denise - I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and Miranda and Sunday will be sunny!

Jen - Good luck with your race!

Have a great weekend everyone!!

:wave2: Team

pixiedust: Connie - Hummm 'Only' four more weeks.
Also I sent you another PM - it appears my math was not so good...Again!

pixiedust: Glad you are feeling better today, Erica! PTL you were not sick too long and it will not ruin your special time at the Tot.

:grouphug: To all our Team at WDW :mickeyjum

Went to the gym this mrning to ride the indoor stationary bike for 12 miles - no out door stuff even if it wasn't raining. No desire to re-injure my ankle again before it is even healed. :goodvibes

:cheer2: :cheer2: To our racers at the Tot and Jen's 5k on Sunday this weekend :cheer2: :cheer2:

Denise - sending out a special beautiful fall weather request for Miranda's Wedding on Saturday
:bride:

Finally made it to WDW, 3 hours in the plane at teh gate before we even left. Maint paperwork issue, oh well.

Weather looking better,

Beautiful day yesterday, beautiful day tomorrow but not today :confused3

She will dress early and go to the lake for pictures before the rain starts, then have the ceremony indoors at the event center where her reception is. Well at least we won't freeze! It'll be in front of the fireplace.

We're relaxed today so I"m sure it'll be fine. Have to set up for the ceremony, cake and quilt etc. Exciting times but my most important job today is to print her boarding passes for her Disneymoon!

My best luck to all TOT racers and anyone else on the team that has a race this weekend. Pictures to follow some time tomorrow or Monday.
