I couldn't be more offended.....

:scared1:

Uh oh . . . I haven't listened to the Podcast yet. Please, please tell me they didn't put down my Sooner State. I may get  and not be on the :surfweb: so much.

Oklahoma is celebrating it's centennial as a state this year, so I am guessing that is a reason they were chosen, because I will admit it does seem like an odd first state to focus on.....but then again this is coming from a New Yorker and you know how we are. :goodvibes

All this is, is an attempt by Disney to Capitalize off The Simpson's Movie......I mean how low can they go.......To use HOMER's Hometown of Oklahomer for the Food & Wine Festival.........I mean Universal must be up in arms about this one.....How can Disney think they can capitalize on The Simpson's Movie by using Homer's Hometown........I am Offended and Extremely Upset that Disney is going to this Extreme.....I am Outraged........:rotfl2: :rotfl:

:lmao: You beat me to it! I was going to post almost the same thing!!! I was driving down the road :lmao: tonight and thought I was going to drive off the road - I laughed so hard at Oklahomer that my stomach hurts now!

C'mon guys...let's be nice.

Who doesnt like to sit down with a nice Oklahoma merlot? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I think some people need a field trip to Tulsa. :rolleyes1 Aside from PGA golf (if that's your thing), there's an award winning zoo, a beautiful aquarium (has been featured on Shark Week on DC), Philbrook Museum of Art, more fine restaurants than you can shake a stick at, an arts district, a bohemian district, an air and space museum, a planetarium, not to mention an opera and a ballet company. The list really goes on and on.

As far as the merlot goes, there are about 45 licensed wineries in Oklahoma, all of whom are outraged that instead of Oklahoma wine being served at the Oklahoma exhibit at F&*WINE*F, they will be serving California wine MADE by a native to Oklahoma. The reason for this is that the policy makers decided that the Oklahoma wineries did not have enough time to meet production, but many are saying it's all about money and they were never given the chance.

I sincerely apologize to those that I may have offended from the great state of Oklahoma with my sillyness...

BUT

when I think of Oklahoma (which has now been duly defended), food and wine are not in the top 10 things that spring to mind.

Last year, we had the pleasure of traveling with some fine folks from Oologah, Oklahoma who, whenever they were asked where they were from, smirkingly responded with "the geographic center of the Universe."

Please understand that we, as did they, were joking and meant no offense.

Does this get me out of the Tulsa feild trip?

Kevin

No . . . you can stay with my family and I; we will do dining reviews. And we will also work on our grammar. Isn't it sad when bad things happen to good sentences? :lmao:

(I'm just teasing . . . I think I have a large vocabulary, but every know and then I have to run to the dictionary to confirm a word after one of the podcasts.)

Hey! We aren't that bad!! Sure I have cows for neighbors, but I love it!

I have noticed a lot of Okie Disers! Hi Ya'll!
