Okay, just for argument's sake....

yes...you will turn into a zombie. the infection just needs to get into your bloodstream.

you MUST read the Zombie Survival Guide. GREAT book.

...and you will ALWAYS, always, be on the look out for an infestation.... :scratchin

Ah, the husband and I spent many a night discussing the philosophy of zombies.

Ok, you got bit? Sorry, you become a zombie if you DONT want to be one then you do have to shoot yourself.

If you are being chased by a zombie, why are you running? Look how slow they are! Just make a little trap where they trip and thats it. Keep away from zombie dogs though, sorry but Fluffy runs fast and will attack.

Live in a mall or a movie theatre, I actually found out that is safe. (Thank you Dawn of the Dead)

Umm,what else? Oh yeah. If you retain your memory somewhat after bit and can do human stuff, just go somewhere you like and have fun. I can imagine myself as a zombie wearing a Disney hat and spinning on the teacups while holding on to a Pooh doll.

Oh yeah, if a dude or a chick covered in leather and has a lot of weapons tells you to follow them, do it. Cause...you know, they are the ones that always lived in the movies.

DOUBLE TAP, just to be on the safe side :thumbsup2

I wondered why the zombies in ZOmbieland were so, well, FAST! Every other time I've seen zombies they've been slow and stupid. These ones were fast and cunning. Did make for a good movie, tho ;)

And yeah, it's kinda like rabies. Doesn't matter where you've been bit, if yer bit, yer it!

Another thing I've wondered is what all that "goo" is that always seems to be spilling from zombies' mouths. At one point I assumed it was blood, but it's not blood colored! :crazy2:

okay.

its widely accepted that zombie viruses are spread through a mixing of bodily fluids. be that, blood or saliva from a bite.

vampires can suck your blood, and you don't become a vampire. you have to suck THEIR blood to replace your lost blood to become a vampire.

werewolves transmit the same way that zombies do.

the only way to kill a zombie is by severing the spinal collumn or destroying the brain.

werewolves heart must be peirced with silver.

vampires must be burned (either by fire or the sun) or steaked through the heart (since the heart is the epicenter for blood)

and I AM LEGEND is about VAMPIRES. not zombies.

zombies would be the easiest to fend off, because they cannot quickly follow you. they have not, however, lost all sense of problem solving, and will eventually break down your barricades or climb up your strong hold. even though they're stupid, they come en mass. don't underestimate them. keep moving, keep light, and don't be afraid to use bait to gain yourself a few extra minutes.

pretending you're a zombie won't fool them. they smell your brains.

have you talked to your loved ones about your plan in the case of world war z? its coming, wouldn't you rather be prepared than be breakfast?

I thought I am Legend was about a vaccine gone all wrong???:confused3

I AM prepared...:thumbsup2:lmao:

well, the people become vampires. thats why they stay in the dark. zombies don't care if its dark or light. they have poor vision and follow a sense of smell. however, most people seem to think that just because the victims were eaten, the creatures were vampires. but the book inspiring i am legend was actually one of the most important pieces of vampire lore of all time, becuase it never said the "v" word, but the description of the creatures was identical to a vampire, and nothing like a zombie.

But I don't want to be a zombie!!!!!

You can't cry over spilt milk, so make the best of it. Maybe you can move up in the zombie ranks and make a name for yourself. Good luck!

I like this...Zombies take over Disney World!:lmao:

I was forced to watch zombie movies by the now DF, he wanted to make sure that if they attacked I knew what to do.... what a loving man. Don't get on a boat, that is in one of the movies, they went to and island and there were zombies there to, and they couldn't get away from them because they were on an island!

A. Yes, you will now be playing for Team Zombie.

B. Hmm, good question. I think if you go for a truly spectacular method of death, you'd be safe. Do you have any dynamite laying around? What are your thoughts on self-immolation?

Adding this to the Things I Learned on the DISboards.

1. Zombies can smell your brains

2. Sparx knows far too much about the undead!!!!

:rotfl:

Wasn't that the best zombie movie? I'll definitely be seeing that one again.

Have you read the book World War Z? It explains everything (and is really entertaining too).

WOW! I have spent the last few weeks thinking that my biggest concern was whether or not I should get the H1N1 shot for myself and my kids. I had NO IDEA that I should have been preparing myself and my family for a Zombie invasion.

I was so worried by what I read here that I talked to DH but he immediately reassured me that he already has had a Zombie plan in place for months, but didn't want to worry me unnecessarily. I can sleep easy tonight knowing that he has educated himself on this, now I have the knowledge of the DIS to carry me through and should be able to save myself and my children in case of an attack.

The cats however, are on their own!
