Sandy...I guess I'm lucky. I literally have to drag Brianna out of the kid's club. She lOVES being in it. I have to convince her to stay out to spend some time with me. It is nice though to have some peace and quiet and love the DCL for the adult only scenes with NO kids allowed!

Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and remember to count your bleasings! I know I have lots to be thankful for!

Happy Thanksgiving, FF and EVERYONE! :)

Suzanne...You're fortunate that Brianna loves the kids club so much! That's GREAT!!!! I actually wouldn't have minded spending the day at the one Club Med has. LOL! They got to do the circus thing...trampoline, tumbling, and the FLYING TRAPEZE!! I have pictures of Richard up on that...amazing! And they went out on sailboats, learned basics of SCUBA in the pool with tanks. What's NOT to like? LOL! TAKE ME!! I didn't do all that!

Happy Thanksgivng to all!

Suzanne- I went on the Magic when dd was 4 and she loved the kid's club. To me sailing on the Magic was the greatest vacation for a single parent. You have free babysitters always available. You are never far from your child when you do go out for adult time. You don't have to worry about drinking and driving. I loved that cruise!

Vicki- Glad you made it down here safely.

Yesterday, I went to see dd sing with the other 1st graders and then I had a Thanksgiving meal with her at her school. It's great that I work so close to her school that I can leave work to see her.

That's great, isn't it? When I worked at the hospital, my boss used to let me out to attend things of Richard's. :) It made him happy that I could be there.

I suppose by this time everyone is about ready to bust from all of the Thanksgiving day food they consumed and ready to hit the bed!!!

Hope everyone's gatherings were full of yummy food and good times!!

And to everyone who is spending their holiday with my pal Mickey, tell him I said hi and I can't wait to see him again!!!!

Oh...and just to add insult to injury to all of our friends in the North...after we ate dinner, it was "just" warm enough to go swimming in the pool!!! OK.....well...the pool was actually a bit chilly, but after you dived in it wasn't so noticeable, plus after a quick jump in the pool it made the hot tub feel just that much nicer!!!! :smooth:

AND then for those of us that are all of the above and working!!
ooooooooooohhhhhhhhh I ATE TOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!

BUCKLE UP

Ah, the weather in Melbourne was so beautiful today. Sunny, blue skies, and great breeze down by the water. Great food at the restaurant. I'm still stuffed. Now we're drinking wine and going to play games. My mother walked in with Monopoly. Oh, no. Here comes the fighting!
I'm using my BIL's high speed internet connection and I LOVE it!

Hey Legs, yes wasn't the weather just beautiful in our area today??? What restaurant did you and your family eat T-Day Dinner at?? You mentioned water...do you mean the river or ocean...my guess is one of the hotels on the beach...in Cocoa maybe?? We used to do X-mas dinner there with my ex's family every year at the Double Tree on the Beach. It was ok, but I really prefer a home cooked meal!!! :D Can't think of many restaurants in Melb. I would think would have T-Day dinner on or near the river...maybe the Chart House or the Strawberry Mansion?? Ok I am in suspense please do tell!!

Ugh...why have they taken away our ability to delete our posts?

Sorry guys, this was an accidental double posting, and they won't let me remove it.

Took the two little dd's to the beach w/ my parents this am. Then home to cook. The girls were in and out of the pool all day!

I hope everyone had a wonderful day and remembered all there is to be thankful for.

My sil is in Indiatlantic. Isn't that near Melbourne? She may be there even now. She doesn't keep in touch much. W/ her it's, "I called her last...it's her turn to call me." And believe me, she keeps tabs.

Can't wait to hear about the cruise, Suzanne! We're going on our first cruise next November. The girls are still very excited about going. Me, I have my reservations, but that's ok.

Anyone doing the black Friday shopping spree tomorrow? Good luck if you are! Me, I'm sittin' back in the office chair and gonna do my click and shop routine!

Nighty night, all. Oh, and FF, thanks for the Buckle Up reminder. How right you are!

ATe too much and drank too much. Watched football and watched movies tonight with a bottle of good bubbly Italian wine. The weather was great today, but shall be chilly tomorrow! High of 64, ouch! Already started making a dent into the leftovers!

A high of 64!!!!

We ate at Pineda Crossing on US 1 just south of the Pineda Causeway. A small restaurant with really good goumet food.
Then we went further north to Suntree Rotary park. It's right on the river with beautiful views.
I used to live in Indialantic when I was growing up. Nice area.

Sounds good! Who won the football game any way? Cowboys or Dolphins?

I know that restaurant, have never eaten there, but used to tutor children who lived on Tropical Trail and would always pass it. Glad you had a nice time. Are you staying in the area for some Black Friday shopping??? I intend to sleep in, no shopping for me (have to work in the evening though), but good luck braving the crowds at Melb. SQ. if you plan on going to the mall, or anything else in that area!!!

Did it in Melb. 2 years ago, up sooooo very early to hit Staples at the corner of Babcock and Palm Bay Rd first then onto Best Buy and a few places in the mall...at each store they were out of what we wanted. It was a HORRIBLE day. By 10 am my ex and I were snapping at each other and in a very grumpy mood. We were getting angry because we couldn't agree on a place for breakfast, and he stopped the car, turned to me, we calmed down and he said "what would make this day better for you?" I thought for about 2 sec and said going to Disney World. He said ok. We drove the 30 min home, called and made ressies, packed and were on the road to the world by noon. It was just a quick 2 day trip, but oh so nice after the horrible shopping experience. :)

Last year we were up at 4 to be at our first shopping destination by 5am. We had it all mapped out. We took two cars and split up so we could cover more ground. Got every single things on our list...no small feet!!! And were sitting at Denny's by 9am!! Last year's after T-Day shopping went much better than the year before...but I would still take the WDW trip any day!!

Who won the football game any way? Cowboys or Dolphins?

Miami 40-21.....for anyone who saw it..that was a great interception in the final minutes of the game!!!

Ahaaaaaaaaaaaaa! I saw in another thread that the Cowboys lost. Hmmm...Cowboys are my 2nd favorite team! Redskins are the first. But being I live in FL...CONGRATULATIONS TO THE DOLPHINS!!!

Wouldn't it be something if they win the Super Bowl!!? Then we would have the Marlins for the World Series and the Dolphins for the Super Bowl! Wooooooooooooo hoooooooooooooo! :Pinkbounc

Hi all,
Just about to hit the road for a taste of Black Friday (I've gotten lots of strange looks from people this year when I've used that term.) I was, however, *not* on the doorstep waiting for the stores to open at 5am. I like shopping as much as the next person (more than most, actually) but that's *nuts.* I spent the evening yesterday finishing up some homemade gifts while I was digesting, so I don't really have many more things to buy to finish the list.

Sounds like everyone else had nice t'day celebrations. Enjoy those leftovers!

Hi, Kim! I'm debating whether or not to hit the mall today. Crazy, I know! But I need to get out of the house. Last night I took Richard to see Elf...I was less than thrilled. Maybe it's me, but I have a problem with watching an entire movie with guys in tights. LOL! :earseek: Hopefully, this week I'll get to go see Master and Commander alone! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc GIVE ME A GUY IN UNIFORM ANY DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woooooooo hoooooooo! :smooth:
