Ugh....this is a horrible feeling, but I wish that I was at work!!!!! Think I sound crazy huh? Well Tuesdays are the delivery truck days, and just about everyone has to come into work to unload the truck and to stock the store (it is a fairly small store, there aren't that many of us). Anyways, I was supposed to go in at 11:30, but my boss called and said the truck has been delayed and he would call when it was getting close so I could come in then. I am just annoyed by this because the later I end up going in, the later I will have to stay!!! And I have a stupid paper to write for one of my classes tonight that I have been putting off for a bit, plus preparing for a test tomorrow!! And of course instead of utilizing this time to write the paper I am DISing!!!
Turkey day is almost upon us!!! Woo Hoo!!! I can't wait, just thinking about all of that yummy food is making me drool!!! I
LOVE Turkey, and I missed out on a great Thanksgiving last year. It was my ex's and my first year in Indy and we didn't have the opportunity to come home to FL for Thanksgiving because we were coming home for X-mas. We had some relatives in Ohio, but unfortunately they were traveling to Penn to visit some of their relatives. This left just the two of us, and we saw no need to cook a huge dinner for just us (plus the fact that I had never made Thanksgiving dinner on my own before!!) so we went to this Thanksgiving dinner at this Manor House place near us. There were tons of people and it was buffet style. Needless to say, the food was horrible, but we did share a table with a very nice elderly couple and it was kind of like having Thanksgiving with our grandparents!!
Thanksgiving here was supposed to be a very small affair this year, just my mother, her boyfriend (who I am not crazy about) and I. But as always it has GROWN. Now my uncle and cousin are coming, which I am fine and happy about because I like them very much, and fortunately my uncle's girlfriend is going out of town. I can't stand that woman, and dinner would be hellish with her screaming and ranting that she does continually. Also my mother's boyfriend's parents have been invited.

I do not care for these people. The mother is a shrew in the fullest meaning of that term. The father is all right but still drives me crazy, and he likes to taunt me. For example, it is this huge "family" joke now to talk about me and his pocket knife because one afternoon we were grilling and he was making my steak and to see if it was done he took his pocket knife out of his pocket and cut into my steak!! I flipped out!! Told him that was disgusting and that I didn't want something that had been in his pocket and god knows where else touching my food (I am particular about germs) everyone else however thought this was immensely funny and continues to tease me about using the pocket knife on things....Grrrrr!!!!
