Okay...I've Called the Late Night DISers, Now I'm Calling the Single DISers (Part 2)

I teach your son's grade and it's amazing the transformation from the beginning of the year to the end of the year. When I see them as 8th graders two years later, I'm shocked!

Way too many changes. He's almost as tall as me also. :faint: When he leaves a message on my voice mail, his voice is soooooooooooo much deeper than it used to be! Didn't this stuff happen in high school when we were kids?

I remember the boys changing ALOT the summer between seventh and eight grade. I came back from the summer break and was like "WOW"! :smooth:

BB, how did last night go?

Sandy, I think your friends just don't want you to underestimate the importance of taking care of yourself too. :grouphug:

FM, you seem like such a strong woman! I really admire that. If he is Mr. Right it will work out. I wonder who first said the saying about Men - can't live with them and can't live without them? :p

You're obviously younger than me, TB. LOL! I don't remember that big a change in them between 7th and 8th. Even in high school some were scrawny. :)

Well, in case my friends have forgotten, I've been taking care of me and DS single handedly for 12 years! :faint:  I really miss having someone to share life with.

Sandy, I totally hear you. My comment was in reference to you saying it is difficult to be away from your son. You have spent the last 12 years dedicating your life to being a wonderful mom. I think your friends may think you need some "me time" too - time focused just on something you enjoy. I bet they think that you getting out and trying some new activity might be a great way for you to have fun - and to meet men. :earboy2: That is the kind of "taking care of yourself" I don't think your friends want you to underestimate the importance of.

That might be. I had this discussion with someone the other night. I've always found "group" things to me more stressful and tiring than anything else. I've always drifted toward the "do it myself" type of things...maybe take up an instrument (violin, flute, violin, flute?!) :) A big night for me in the past was scrapbooking with female friends. Won't find an interesting male there. Ha ha!

TB~ Last night went okay...the movies he picked out were totally not my type. We talked more and got to know each other a little better, but the vibe I'm getting from him is that we'll be no more than just friends, which, actually, I'm fine with that. I'm getting a lot closer to the guy that lives in Canada (I'll be in Toronto in 5 days!! :cool1: ) but that kinda worries me cuz I really don't want to be in another long distance relationship. :/ I guess we'll just see how things go and where time takes us. :confused3

BB, it seems like time has flown by! I hope you have a wonderful time in Toronto!! I can't wait to hear about it. :flower:

Sandy, yep I doubt too many men would be interested in scrapping. You could probably find some men interested in photography though. :earboy2: Here is my one of my honey's latest. I would put it in my siggy but I am too lazy to resize it.

I have always hated having my pictures taken so it is quite interesting dating someone who loves taking my picture. :bitelip:

I like FM's motto - easy come, easy go! You deserve a man who will want to watch a movie you would like...especially the first time you are seeing a movie together!

TB- You look great in the photo! Your dbf takes great shots.

BB- A long distance relationship would be tough. I know I am not interested. I am only searching within 30 miles of where I live (eHarmony).

Thanks Legs! That is the good thing about him taking so many of them...a decent pic is bound to turn up some time! :rotfl:

I think BB likes long-distance romances. :p Sadly mine is just about to turn into one. :guilty: My honey will be moving 8 hours away in June. He asked me to start looking for a job in the town he is moving too...I told him I don't want to do that until I know we will be getting married. So we will see! :sunny: We are going there next month to find him a place to live.

Edited to add: Sorry BB! I just read above about you not wanting to be in another LD relationship. Maybe if things really work out with this guy it wouldn't be long distance for long. :smooth:

I bought a new computer and I have it up and working! Hopefuly I won't corrupt this one. Computers and I usually don't get along. :sad2:

Welcome back, FM! :wave2:

Legs~I was in a long distance relationship for about 2 years, that just ended a little over 2 months ago. I really didn't have a problem with dating long distance, but now I think I want something more.

TB~Wow! That's a great pic! Your DBF has talent. :) Sorry about him moving, I know how hard it can be to be apart from the one you love. :grouphug:

Yesterday I had a message on my answering machine from the guy in Canada. He remembered that I had a doctor's appointment and he was just calling to let me know that I was on his mind. :goodvibes Ha, ha...and then he said, Oh! I forgot! Yesterday was a month since the first day we talked to each other!! I was like, :earseek: OMG...I can't believe he remembered that....I didn't even remember that!! :rotfl: It was really sweet, he's really thoughtful. :love2: The other night on the phone I was telling him about an assignment I have to do for a class, and the next day I checked my email and he had found several articles for me to use for my assignment! I didn't even ask him to do anything for me. Ah...I think I could be falling  ...to be continued....

Aww BB! He sounds so sweet. :goodvibes I can't even imagine what it must be like to meet someone you already have feelings for. Are you excited? Nervous? Maybe a little of both? Either way I wish you the best!

FM, I'm glad your back with us!

Sandy, how are things with you?

BB...I can understand completly about the long distance relationship and wanting more.

It's Friday! This week has been such a loooooooonnnnnggggg week!

Atleast the weekend is here! I'm off to Austin. My cousin's bachelorette party is tomorrow night. :cool1:

GREAT picture, Deb! You don't have an ounce to lose. :)

Just working here. Ugh. It was such a loooooooooooooooooooong day. It's nice to occasionally have a luncheon with all the staff, but it makes for such a long day since I don't get out! :(

Bea...Good luck with the dates! :)

Had a great day yesterday. Went to Epcot. It's the start of the Flower festival. I can now get to Disney in less than one hour!!! Went on the new ride Soarin'. It was great. It felt like you were flying over California.
Then we saw Davy Jones of the Monkees in concert. My friend is a huge fan and my sister likes him. I remember watching the Monkees TV show. We were in the second row. It was fun.
The weather was so beautiful too.
