Mid~week check in!
How's everyone doing?
Myself, I can't wait until next week. This week is spring break, and where am I?!!~In cold, overcast Ohio, that's where! Spending my "vacation" working full time! ARGH! I want to go back to school!
Sorry you're working through your break!

Hope you get some "fun" time in before classes start again.
Ack! Work weeks are long! This is the second week where I've felt like Thursday was Friday. I was ready to RUN out the door tonight. Had to remind myself to show up for work tomorrow!

Two of my three bosses are off tomorrow. I'm betting it will be a looooooooooooooooooooong, quiet day. Ugh!
DS's school royally ticked me off on Tuesday. We had snow flurries here, so they released the kids early!

And they did it without calling any of the parents in DS's class!

Amazingly, I was the only parent to call the school and the class mom on it. Long story short, class mom was volunteering at school at the time the principal called early dismissal. She didn't physically have her list of people to call to get the calls going. Went to office and was ignored by staff going nuts with things going on because school closing early.

She went to principal WHO WASN'T CONCERNED EITHER!!!!!!!!!!!!

Principal told the class mom to "forget about it." She had called the local news station and gave the info on the closing.

HELLO!!! Do all working parents have access to a TV during working hours to stand there and see if a school is closed? Extremely irresponsible on the principal's part!!! DS's school in FL called every single parent if there was an early release. A kid wasn't let go until a parent or designated person picked them up and signed them out. Here? They put the kids on the bus and sent them home! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. DS told me about it when I walked in the door at 5:45 p.m.! Crap! Time to look for another school. They are way too irresponsible with the kids! How can they not call parents and send the kids home? Luckily, my neighbor that he stays with after school did get the message and met the kids at the stop. Her grand daughter is in a different grade/class. I'm still fuming over this. When I do yank DS out, you can bet a letter will be going to the principal, the diocese since this is a Catholic school, and whoever in VA Government that I can find out should get info like this. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
