Awwww, thanks. That is so sweet! :)

Yep, I've been mostly single for the past 2 years and I'm sick of it now. It was fun for awhile, but now I just want someone to fight with! ;)

LOL! I'd like to skip the fighting part. Had enough of that the first time around.

Hmmm......I didn't have much of that. I think I was married to a mute. That mute is now remarried and having another baby this summer, thankyouverymuch. Who said that they always leave The Other Woman???? Geeze.... :rolleyes: Oops, sorry for venting. lol.

Found this article interesting...even Nicole Kidman has a problem finding a man.

Being a Single Mother Makes It Difficult to Find Male Companionship, Nicole Kidman Says
6/30/04 7:53PM GMT

Being a single mother makes it difficult to find a mate - even when you're Nicole Kidman.

"I'm hoping to meet someone and be happy with them. But that's not as easy as it sounds. I'm a 37-year-old woman with two children. Men aren't beating a path to my door," she said in an interview published Wednesday in the latest issue of Now magazine.

"I don't want to sound like a woman from a lonely hearts club and I don't want to advertise. The children are my priority. I take them around with me - movies or baseball games or local shows - and that's not so appealing for any new man on the scene, is it?" she said.

The Oscar-winning star of "The Hours" has been single since breaking up with rock star Lenny Kravitz earlier this year.

She denied rumors that she might get back together with ex-husband Tom Cruise, with whom she split in 2001. The pair share custody of their children, 11-year-old Isabella and 9-year-old Connor.

"That whole part of my life is over and done with. We'll always be in contact because of our children," she said. "But I'm single and there's no one out there for me at the moment."

Kidman, who recently starred in a remake of "The Stepford Wives," also wanted to dash speculation that she's suffering from an eating disorder. She has looked painfully thin in recent photographs, but said her hairstyle was to blame.

"I've been wearing it up a lot lately and that seems to make my face look smaller and make my body look even thinner," she explained. "When I wear it down ... then my boy-like figure looks a little fuller. That's the only explanation I can come up with."

:wave: DisneyAddict! I wish I could see Morgan - all I get is red x's. :(

Interesting article on Nicole Kidman. I hope she really is healthy.

Hi Pin Wizard.....

I think we are all in the same boat....you are so true when you mentioned that we did not have these issues when we were in our 20's. Just to get a smile out of ya....I met someone not that long ago and I really thought she was in her 40's until she started to tell me about her parents and the school that they went to.......(you ready to laugh???) I went to school with her mother.....this night ended very quickly. lol

Yes...one day we will all meet our match's.....wouldn't it be something if everyone on the DIS lived within a 50 mile radius....hell I can dream can't I.

::yes::

OMG!!! That is too funny Rick. I hope you didn't tell this woman you thought she was in her 40's! ;)

It is sometimes difficult to judge people's ages. I look quite a bit younger than I am which I think works to my favor socially. Professionally though its sometimes a different story. Even though it took me 10 long years to finish my Ph.D., when I took in my diploma to get it framed recently the store clerk just kept looking at me. I could tell he was surprised by what he probably thought was my young age (I'm 33!). I guess it didn't help that I had a Mickey t-shirt on! :p :teeth:

It would be fun if we lived closer together - it would be nice to hang out with other single people. I can't seem to find many here in Houston. I know they must be out there somewhere...

Hi TigerBear

No, I did not say anything about the age.....I happen to meet her at a sports pub and we just began to talk. I though we were really hitting it off. Little did I know..lol

Yes, it would be very nice if we all lived close...at least we know one thing about each other....we all enjoy Disney.

For some couples, I think age is not a big factor. One of my bestfriends is living with a man who is 15 years her senior (she's 34; he is 49). They seem very happy.

I agree 100% with the age doesn't matter thing...there are much more important things.

But in your case Rick, I can see why having gone to school with her mom might make it just a little too wierd. :eek:

LOLOLOLOLOLOL! :laughing: :laughing: :laughing: That is toooooooooooooooooo funny, Rick!!! :laughing: You thought she was in her 40s? Wow! She must look old for her age. ;)

Well, I got another match on e-harmony. Another one who hasn't checked in yet. So I have the military guy who is local and this new guy who is in Richmond just sitting there. LOL! I forget what this one does for a living. I'll have to check again. When he was giving some info about himself, he mentioned...don't judge a book by its cover. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. No pic posted yet.

Pin Wizard / I really thought mid 30's at least....little did I know. So what am I to do know...ask for a womans age before taking them out.......you'll see my photo on a milk cartoon if I do that.....lol.

::yes::

Suzanne...That's so true! Pics are important also.

Rick...Oh, no! Don't ask the age in advance! LOL! You don't need to be on a milk carton. Ha! ;)

Had the friends...now have the plans for the fourth...we are having a backyard BQ...my friends are inviting other friends over which might be the scary part though. There's this one weird friend of theirs that has a crush on me. AGH!
