Okay...I've Called the Late Night DISers, Now I'm Calling the Single DISers (Part 2)

I'm sure we all get bored with our day to day lives to some point. Do you still enjoy going to your job every morning? I had reached the point...for a long time...where I would get my morning coffee, sit down at my desk, and think...I don't want to be here! The single parent guilt trip...you MUST work. Kept that job way too long. Yup, Sunfest was fun, but it sure wasn't enough to keep me in the area. This area has even more to do I think, but that's not even part of my consideration. Are you still happy at work? I thought you were ready to just about leave if you could.

Oh! And right before I left, I felt the same way. Do I go? Do I stay? Am I doing the right thing? Am I nuts for doing this? And it all worked out...for the better!

I changed my job before Brianna was too old. I knew I wasn't happy with my job, so I went back to school. I am so happy I did that when I did. Now she and I bascially have the same schedule which is so nice and I'm not stressed out like I use to with my old job.

Woooooo hoooooo! What a day. Got my references straightened out and am thrilled with them! I also received a card and a note from my former boss at the hospital. She had nothing but great things to say and said she's all ready to give me a reference when she's contacted. She's happy for me making the move. Many years ago she lived in Norfolk and still loves the area. She says the things at the hospital haven't changed and SHE may be making a change in the not too distant future! Hmmmmmm...only trouble is her husband won't budge out of FL. But her only child, a daughter in the Air Force, is now stationed near Ft. Walton Beach, so she's thrilled about that! Says it's just a 9 hour drive. Much better than to Texas. Yipeeeee!

Thanks, Suzanne! I will. Still working on the resume. What a project! I know...it's a test to make sure you can type and reformat! It was 5 pages, got it down to 3. They want no more than 3.

After a break, I've rejoined eharmony. LOL! Couldn't pass up that three-month special. After less than 24 hours, they came up with 2 matches. Amazing! One is in town...and MILITARY! Wooooooooooo hooooooooo! Haven't heard back from either one yet.

I'm shooting for Monday morning...Fed Ex! Not trusting the post office to get it there on time. I've had trouble with mail being delivered to my home. Nope! Not trusting them!!

Ha! I was expecting info from Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Never showed up. The lady is re-sending it.

Ordered a replacement coffee pot from Gevalia since I broke the one I had when unpacking it...never used. I received a post card the other day that my order was returned to them by the post office, but they don't know the reason. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Guess I'll be at the post office on Monday morning also! But Fed Ex comes first!

I got some junk mail from the Navy recently asking me to join. I'm not sure if a 32 old man can sign up to be a petty officer, but who knows. Then I can be a man in uniform for PW!

My subscription for e-harmony came up and I didn't renew it. Have too much other things going on right now! Can't wait for the school year to be over.

Also sometimes timing in life SUCKS! Need to do an AAAAHHHHHH!

True, Suzanne. It's been maybe 3 months since mine expired. They kept sending me e-mail to renew. Nope! But they finally sent the three month deal. It sat in my in box a while. Finally renewed on the day it would have expired.

What ever happened with detective guy?
