Okay...I've Called the Late Night DISers, Now I'm Calling the Single DISers (Part 2)

Congrats on the trip to Epcot, Legs! Sounds like you had a great time!! :teeth:

Suzanne...another move? :faint: I don't know how you do it. I'm still burned out from my last move. I really SHOULD move...

I GOT THE JOB!!!

If all goes as planned, I'll be starting it on December 5. :teeth: Can't wait! Wish I started today!

SSB...Thank you VERY much! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Legs...Thank you! :) I'm sure it will work out much better. I'll be doing Credentialing like I did at the hospital in FL for 8 years! I'm looking forward to it!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving weekend! It was nicely ignored here. First time I've been successful at that. Seems to be the best way to deal with the holidays. Spent the day geocaching!   :magnify: Found the way to spend the rest of the holidays!

Any exciting Turkey days out there? :)

Sandy, Congratulations on the job!! I am SO happy for you! :cool1: :Pinkbounc :cool1:

My father passed away this week. His health deteriorated very rapidly - I was so happy I got here in time to say good-bye. His funeral was yesterday and it was a beautiful service. It actually is a relief to not have him suffer any more.

Happy belated thanksgiving to all. Sandy, I think it is absolutely wonderful that you have found something you enjoy so much.

Sandy, I just noticed your WISh clippie. Is that new?!?!? CONGRATLATIONS. I bet you feel awesome.

   I'm so sorry to hear about your dad, TigerBear. I understand the feeling of relief. I felt that way when my dad died from cancer. :( Will keep you and your family in prayers! I know there are tough days ahead.

Thanks in reference to the job! :teeth: Next Monday, I'm there! Yahooooo! Just a little excited about it. Not the perfect job, but I'll be much happier in it than in my current job. And the job should be evolving a bit down the road. I think it will be great in the long run.

Yes, I do love Geocaching! It's a lot of fun and showing me some great places in the area. Yesterday we were on the river in Yorktown. A new development of shops, etc. Just beautiful! I can imagine the price of the homes around. :faint: :faint: Interesting thing...Richard and I were walking and chatting. Glanced across the street and I'm positive I saw DHT!!  :lovestruc :faint: Scrape me off the pavement! We do talk on the phone every few weeks, but I haven't seen him in a long time. Could only see him from behind since he was facing two other Harley riders he was with. :teeth: Definitely mid-life crisis going on here. :earboy2: I got the feeling I get when only around him...could have passed out, and I can't think! I gave Richard my geocaching page to read while I stared. LOLOL! Didn't comprehend a thing of what Richard said and had him repeat it. Still nothing. LOLOL! When we chat this week, I'll have to ask him about it. :lovestruc Sheesh...some things just never change.

Better get ready for work. I'm running behind since getting up a bit late. Have a GREAT day! Hugs for you, TB!!

Sorry I haven't been around lately, guys! Wow, so much has happened here with all of you...so much has happened with me, too!

First of all, congrats on the job, PW!
Sorry about your dad, TB. :(
Legs~This guy sounds like a keeper! ;)
FM~Good luck with the move!

I'm replying from school right now because I don't have the Internet at home temporarily. :( Well, the good news first...me and the guy from eharmony have been doing great! :teeth: We'll have been together for 7 months on Monday. :)
Now for the bad news...I came home on Thanksgiving night to find that my house had caught on fire! :guilty: The fire was all out when we got there but the damage is pretty major...won't be able to live there for a few months at least. So, it looks like I'll be moving temporarily until my place is ready for me to move back in. At least I had insurance so all my personal things are being taken care of. No one was home and so no one was hurt. You just never expect these things to happen. :( DBF was so supportive and wonderful...he drove an hour from his parents' house to be with me the night of the fire and stayed the night. The next day he helped me contact all the utility companies to get things taken care of.

We're going to see Trans~Siberian Orchestra this weekend...it's my birthday present! :teeth: It will be nice to get away for the weekend and not have to stress over things that I've been stressing over this weekend since the fire.

It's been there a while, but in the last couple months I got rid of another 10 or 15 pounds. I feel much better, but I have a bit more to go. Taking my time with it. No rush. Thanks for asking, TB!

Funny that clippie isn't showing. Seems to be a problem with the ones 30-70 pounds gone. Changing mine to 55 gone since it's actually 57! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Bea! So nice to see you and hear that things are going well with DBF. So sorry to hear about your home. :( You just never know. Glad you have insurance to cover your belongings. And thanks for the congrats on the new job of mine. Looking forward to it on Monday. Wish I were all ready there. This last week at my current job is tough.

TB- I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad

bizybea- It's so good to hear from you. Sorry to hear of the fire but glad no one was hurt in it. That's great the eHarmony guy is going well.

PW- Congrats on the weight loss!

I'm not sure where this thing is going with the single dad. It may be just a short term passionate thing. We did finally have our first date without the kids. Woo Hoo ;) Both our kids spent the night at friends. But he has said he won't ever use a sitter because he doesn't want to take time away from his daughter . His daughter has asked if he is dating me and he lied and said no. Just keeps getting better. My dd asked if I was going to marry him and I could truthfully say no. So there are kid issues and other issues I am concerned about.
Friend of mine wants to set me up with a guy who sounds good (he has also done eHarmony without any results). It's good to have one waiting in the wings in case current one doesn't work out.

Thanks for the hugs y'all.

A :grouphug: for you too BB. I'm happy to hear everyone is safe. You deserve an extra special birthday after this. I'm glad to hear you DBF realizes that too.

PW, I knew you were involved in WISH - I just don't remember the 50 pound milestone. Absolutely incredible! My wedding dress arrived today which means I really need to start working out again! I don't really want to lose weight so much as lose fat.

Legs, interesting about the guy. Is her mom out of the picture? It definitely is a big sea out there. ;)

Her mom lives across the country on the west coast so she can't see her every other weekend. She saw her over Halloween and then will have her the entire winter break.

Ugh, sorry to hear that this guy isn't working out that well, Legs. I can't believe he lied to his DD! Men. Ditch him and move on to the next! :rolleyes1

Congrats on losing weight, PW!! I joined my gym again but with school and work and all the things that happened recently I haven't found time to go. :guilty: My first few weeks back at the gym I was there 3-4 times a week. I need to get back into a routine of doing that again. I've been snacking a lot since I've been stressing over things and that doesn't help my waistline!

TB~How exciting about your dress arriving! :hyper: I've been away so long I don't recall if you've set a date yet. :scratchin

Thanks everyone for all the :grouphug: and support.

Legs, sorry to hear about the single dad. Glad you have someone in the wings.

Someone at work told me it seemed like I dropped the last 10 rather quickly. It hasn't been that quick. I've been stuck on this plateau since 12/03. Finally through that one! :faint: And it's dropped since I started with the Geocaching. :) Walking around more and sitting less...except for the drives to get where we're going! :faint: Another geocacher passed us on a road a couple weeks ago and wanted to know what I was doing so far from my car. LOL! Number one, checking all possibilities. Two, we needed the exercise after the drive! :)

Bea...good luck with the workouts at the gym! I've been that route and it seems I get burned out after a while. The best one recently was the Y with the racquetball courts. That was fun. But just try and get time on a weekend!

TB...So happy to hear your gown has arrived! How exciting!!   You will have to show us a picture. :)

Wanted to come on and wish everyone a Merry Christmas. Lots have happened since the last time I was on here.

TB...I am so sorry to hear about your father.
PW....Awesome news about the new job! HOw is it going so far?
Legs....May be that he doesn't want to gie false hope to his duaghter. I know when I go out I don't tell my duaghter I"m gong out on a date, I'm gong out with friends. B/c if she knows it's a guy, she wants to know if we are going to get married. She wants her mommy married and to have a nother baby yesterday. I just don't want her to think I"m parading men thorugh her life and that's the way it's suppose to be so I keep the men far far far away from her. Interesting story that happened right before Thanksgiving. I had pulled into a parking space at the Village Inn. We were going to have lunch there and buy my mom a pecan pie. I usually ALWAYS keep the doors locked until we actually get out of the car. I was getting my stuff together, when my car door opened all by itslef. This biker guy was opening the door for me "to be nice". It scared the dickens out of me to say the least. Being nice wasn't any of the thoughts running through my head. So we go on to sit down and eat. My daughter asked me if he had a wedding ring on his finger nad if I got his phone number. And she's doing this at 6! Lord help me! :)

Bea sorry to hear about the fire. HOw are things going there?

We are officially moving Feb 15th. I'm relieved that I've found another place. Was looking at buying, but the prices are so out of my budget it's n not even funny anymore. So now to move on to the moving process.
I never unpacked everything. So I'll go through all that junk and start the process again. This time I have myself 2 weeks to do the whole moving thingy versus one day. One day is plain old crazy!

Brianna made straight A's the first nine weeks and I'm so proud of her. She's been doing so much better health wise too. I"ve been p umping her full of vitamins. Just hope she stays that way.

She's been gone this week on her fathers which has been driving me somewhat nuts. I've been heepign myslef busy. I'm thinking of driving up to Tarpon Springs today. I've always wanted to go up there and see everything. Tomorrow I"m heading to the fantasy of flight. Suppose to be interesting also. Nothing much else happening aroudn her. HOpe you all have a wonderful Christmas and a blessed New Year.

Merry Christmas, Suzanne! And everyone else also! :)

Glad to hear that Brianna is doing so well. Smart girl! I'll cross my fingers that your moving goes well. Too scary about the guy opening your car door! :faint:

Work is going well, thanks. I'm working at a hospital that's a 7 minute drive on the interstate. Wooo hooo! At least I'm here for December. Worked 1/2 day today. Nice to get out at 11:30!    DS was happy to have me home! :) Spent the afternoon out. I hear Rug Rats on TV. LOL! Do they ever outgrow that show? ;)

Hope everyone is doing great!

Hello all, to my great friends. I wish you all the very best of holidays and a great 2006 ahead.

Ugh... very, very sorry to hear about your Dad, TB... :*( Way sad, and so very much thinking about you, and sending prayers, and good wishes your way on this night.

Merry Christmas!
I've been taking time off work to enjoy the holidays plus the single dad (our daughters have both been gone!) and I have been spending time together. Still don't know if that's going anywhere but it is so nice to have someone to be with....made me realize how lonely I really was.
