Have a tradition now that Jennifer helped come up with of doing the elf deal the day before ... I write elaborate poem with clues for them to follow from the elf, to find the gifts. They love it, as I usually start it out with them needing to jump up and down on my bed to wake me up... stuff like that.

Hi SSB.

We always opened all of our gifts on Christmas day so that's when dd will open hers. XH's family always celebrated on Xmas eve so it works out well.

Well after TB mentioned SITC had to go out just to rent the dvd. I got Season 4, vol. 1. I'm eating sushi and drinking sangria. I exhausted myself cleaning. I still have to wrap dd's gifts.

Yes, I will be going to mom's tomorrow.

It's not that big of an increase in pay. I wonder how long it will take to make up the cost of taking the test!

My main concern with the stores being closed is having something to eat!

Too funny, as started watching part of SATC episode on HBO just now. Have the DVD's (except last season).

I was trying to get the episode after the one I just saw on TBS. Well at BB they don't describe the episodes on the box. I guessed. And can you believe it...I got the dvd that had the TBS episode on it.

SATC has made me laugh. It worked.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

We celebrate with our family last night and then Santa presents this morning. Brianna got way too much stuff this year which she sees as being a good girl. She's with me till Monday and then she's "gulp" off with her father for a week. I get her on Wed as it's my b-day. I'm not use to her being gone for the weekend might as well as 7 days.

Should do something for New Year's but he put a stop payment on the child support check. What a nice x-mas present from him.

I definitely enjoyed the SATC dvd last night. It was more of a single woman's survival night than Christmas Eve. I think I will have to finish the series from here on out. The break-up by post-it was just cruel.

My family officially celebrated Christmas last weekend when my brother and s-i-l were able to join us - so I told my family that we will be eating out today. I just do not feel like cooking. Thank God Katz never closes!

I think we're headed out for a while in a bit. I'm getting the heebie jeebies being around the house so long. Doesn't phase me on a normal day. I have no problem being home until 5:45 when I realize I better go get DS. It just bothers me when everything is closed. It looks cold outside. I see smoke coming out of the neighbor's chimney.

I just had to go rent another SATC dvd tonight! I still haven't watched Dopamine. Does anyone know when part 2 for season 6 comes out? I thought they had the entire series out already?

My brother told me today that I need to gain a couple of pounds. I couldn't believe it. He actually said, "I never dreamed I would be telling you this but you need to gain some weight". This is the only person who has ever made negative comments about my weight - well, besides from my ex-h. I guess I need to work a little harder to put some more muscle on. MEN!!!

Wish I had the same problem as you and Suzanne. I'm always on the other side trying to get rid of it. I really need to get back to the walk/run...faithfully.

Tomorrow we're getting SNOW!! It's supposed to start around 9 a.m. and finish around 2 p.m. (How do they know this so precisely? Should we take bets on how accurate it actually is?)

I think I heard between 3 and 6 inches.

Thanks! Believe me, I have never been on this side before - well except when I was preschool age. I weighed 28 pounds for 3 years and my mom was worried I would be a midget. When puberty hit, I never had that problem again! Edited to add that I really don't think I need to gain any weight. At 5'2" and 110 pounds I am still clearly in the average range. That is why I think my brother's comments are so funny!! I probably shouldn't lose any more...

Suzanne, do you do any strength training?

I hope you are not snowed under Sandy! We had the first white Christmas Eve that I can ever remember.

Did anyone get any good gifts for Christmas? My favorite was a gift certificate to a Day Spa from my best friends (a couple) here in Houston. I might try a facial - never had one before!

Oooooooooooooooo, yes...get a facial. They're so relaxing!! A scalp massage would be nice also if you're having your hair done.

Let's say the weather people were a teensy bit off. Like 8 inches! This afternoon I heard that we have between 12 and 14 inches of snow in town. LOL! All four of us had a great day in it. Looking forward to playing again tomorrow.

Hi All and Merry Christmas!

I can't sleep tonight so I thought I'd check in. Well these past several weeks with DBF home have been a roller coaster ride. Things have been a little rocky at times and wonderful at times. He definatly has changed some from being away in Iraq...at times he is his old self and then at times he is very distant. We've had some serious conversations about us and our future. Some of them good and some not so good....I am having a hard time figuring out exactly what is going on. He seems to be pushing me away and from some of his comments it seems that he feels it would be easier for us because of how hard it is to be apart and how much he misses me when we are apart. There are times when I feel very good about our relationship and about our future and then there are times when I don't have a great feeling about it. Do I sound confused or what?
He leaves on Friday and won't be able to come back to the US for 10 months due to the Foreign Tax credit. We are planning to meet in Costa Rica for a week in March but that is not making the thought of him leaving any easier as we won't have any long periods of being together for a long time. New Year's Eve will not be an easy one for me with having dropped him off at the airport. I could go out with a friend but I am not sure if I will be very good company.

Just wanted to let you all know I am thinking of you and I know that you all have your own challenges and struggles.

Thank goodness for all of you and your support as I know I'll be visting here often in the very near future to share in all of our ups and downs....the roller coaster continues......
