Okay, has anyone ever gone from POR to CBR and preferred CBR?

You've made a good choice. We have stayed @ both resorts & CBR wins heads up. Liked POR but felt closed in. I agree that @ CBR it feels like you are doing 2 seperate vacations in one. If you are planning some time in the resort for R & R, CBR offers alot more activities & relaxation oppertunities. Can't wait to get into a hammock & watch the stars @ night.

Stayed at both CBR and POR in the same trip last spring, loved CBR, liked POR. CBR felt like more of a resort vacation than did POR.

I just really love the idea of the sand beaches and palm trees. I think now that I live in the South (Kentucky), as much as I did like POR, it really didn't seem as "themed" to me as it may to someone from a different part of the country. DS9 couldn't even figure out how it was different from home (not that we live in a mansion [!], but there are enough 19th century estates in our small city that had a similar look.
I've requested non-smoking (guaranteed because of Ds's asthma) and Jamaica...I'll keep my fingers crossed on that one. The CM recommended I call CBR 48 hours out to talk with someone about my requests, but I thought that was no longer acceptable???

We stayed at the POFQ last year and are arriving at the CBR tomorrow! We loved the POFQ but are looking forward to trying something new! I'm glad to hear so many positive comments about the CBR! Thanks guys!

I think I might be the odd-ball here but I preferred POR over CBR. They are both beautiful and definetly CBR has amazing grounds and scenery. However, I just thought it was too big and difficult to get around(and I did do my research on this site and stayed in a resonable area). This might be due to my family age with 5,3,21 months but we didn't have any problems last year at POR. The buses at CBR drove me crazy and getting from one end to the other was just tiring with the kids. POR was just easier to manage for my family, while beautiful too. I also loved that you could hop the boat to Downtown Disney---and the kids did too.

I'm sure you'll love either.
