I cancelled my res after veiwing virtual photos of bahia, based on the recommendation of my travel agent ( who inspected this resort) I made reservations at the Dana on Mission Bay. I hear that it is kid-friendly. I have read mostly good reviews on it. Anyone had the pleasure of staying there?:rolleyes1

The Dana is a motor inn and is not at the beach, it is across from the marina/bay and rooms 2000-2300 (I think) have a view of the marina and a nice patio. It has a nice pool and is very near Sea World (though the shuttle they have to Sea World is pretty weak...a couple of set times during the day and that's it though this may change during busy weeks?)

The rooms are nice and clean but there is an "old" rundown section at the Dana and a newer section, if you book the cheaper rooms you're probably stuck in the dreary section.

Check out Paradise Point (very near the Dana)...it can get expensive depending on time of year, but we like it so much that it has become one of our yearly pilgrimages.

I am interested in Paradise pt, looked nice on line. What sort of hotel could you compare it to, I am looking for something 4-star, beachfront and family friendly (meaning 6yr old DS friendly.) Checked out the Del , which is beautiful, but at almost $500 a nite, a bit more than I want to spend to sleep !!
